  1. Posers! I got a good laugh the first time I saw them park their bikes nose in, front tire right up against the wall! Not like the old days of backing the bikes in, then carefully kicking the motors over onto compression for a quick start and get away. These guys would be dog paddling their bikes backwards like kids with training wheels if SHTFF!
  2. Thanks for the info. Do you have any photos of where you smoothed out the sharp edges at the tube junction? Also photos of the hack saw fix for the forward handguard.
  3. You mean like this or like this
  4. Well, they are wearing skirts! I just wish our roads were that smooth! Here they would have been swallowed by a chuckhole within 50 feet.
  5. Try using Motul 800, Maxima 927, or Torco 2 stroke oil for the gas rings. The 2 stroke oils produce very little carbon build up.
  6. EGW currently shows that sight out of stock. Kensight lists the same sight and shows it as in stock. Kensight Elliason style sight
  7. "contains unique, proprietary Ceramic Pressure Solids" ie... coarse lapping compound!
  8. Grams followers for 38 Super and 40 S&W are the same. They are just marked "Grams ST/SV" with no caliber marking.
  9. Could you explain what you mean? When you insert the mag with the slide closed, the bottom of the slide prevents the follower from rising up too high and binding against the slide stop. When you rack the slide, the follower moves up and binds against the slide stop when the breachface moves back releasing the follower. Remove the slide, insert the slide stop and seat a magazine. Slightly push the follower down, then release it while holding the slide stop down, do not let the follower push the slide stop up. You can then see if the follower is interfering with the slide stop.
  10. The SVI spring works well and is made wider for the 2011 style pistols. SVI Light Touch Sear Spring
  11. Before you try the last resorts of cutting and drilling, try using a small Torx driver in the stripped Allen screw. The extra splines on the slightly larger Torx bit will often get enough grip in a rounded Allen screw to remove the screw. Home Depot Torx Set Sears Folding Torx Set
  12. Before you buy the GoPro camera, take a look at the Replay XD1080 Camera. It is much smaller, video quality equal to or better thant he GoPro, with better sound quality. Replay XD1080 Camera Hot Rod magazine did fairly objective review of the top 4 cameras. Hot Rod camera comparison Sample videos from the above comparisons
  13. This forum is really more about using airsoft for USPSA/IPSC practice than for/about actual airsoft competition. If you can live with google translation or if you speak/read Chinese, there are several Hong Kong competition organizations with forums. Hong Kong Airsoft Shooting Assc. Hong Kong Airsoft Practical Shooting Assc. HK Shooters Forum For just general airsoft information, modifications, troubleshooting, etc. The 6mm District
  14. Interesting that Kyle was shown as an IDPA shooter and he couldn't visualize the stage, maybe Brian should send him a copy of "Beyond Fundamentals." If you can visualize an entire stage in memory, the box should have been fairly easy as a ten shot stage. Another technique for that type of situation would be to spend the 10-15 seconds just looking at the entire box and visualizing it as a photograph, then later just see the photograph in memory and shoot what is seen in the photograph. For example, think of a photograph of a gun, car, motorcycle, etc... you've seen recently in a magazine or online, then see if you can pick out 10 details of that photograph from memory.
  15. In that case she should also be a member here! Please offer her an invitation at your next opportunity.
  16. It would have been much more humorous if they had used a bus instead of a police car!
  17. The wear and tear on your centerfire guns would be another factor especially if you're shooting in Open division, plus as you get older the additional wear and tear on your wrists, especially if your're shooting in Open division.
  18. I think he exhales slightly just before the draw.
  19. Just don't get dyslexic when you say the name!
  20. The Tactical Solutions barrel looks better, but it is not uncommon for the barrel lug to come unglued from the barrel if the barrel retaining screw is overtightened. How tight is too tight? That varies from frame to frame. Tactical Solutions will repair the barrel for free or you can expoxy it back yourself with JB Weld or Acraglas. The Browning barrel isn't as pretty as the Tactical Solutions, it costs less, and it doesn't have the barrel lug problem, but they can be hard to find. Both barrels are very accurate.
  21. The rifle may have been a .22 Magnum. The bullets they showed in the slow motion footage looked like FMJBT.
  22. If you're going to the trouble of redesigning magazines, get rid of the stacked coil spring and use a constant force ribbon spring like the old Ramline .22lr magazines. I think someone (maybe Bolen) was working on this about the time the Federal Assault Weapon ban/10 round limit took effect and it was never finished. The Ramline magazines worked very well, but the plastic feed lips were very susceptible to damage.
  23. Don't call an electrician, you're not trying to hook up an electric dryer, call an electronics technician, they know how to deal with ESD (static electricity)
  24. I also recommend that you use very small gauge wire and install a 1 megohm resistor inline for your safety. This is what I use: ESD Ground Cord
