Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I will within a few weeks, had it sent to my old address... in the process of getting it back lol.
  2. Did not know that, how odd. Get a Gmail account!
  3. Ha! I always feel the shooters get "spoiled" with this whole electronic thing, in a good way of course. One thing I still do on paper is the squadding, and it seems that since people no longer have to fill out a scoresheet, they get into that swing of not having to write anything down and I have to yell at everyone to squad up! lol Volunteer devices get us through matches as well for the moment.
  4. Yes that was a stage name from our weekly match, which is only a 3-stage match so we don't have issues with remembering what stage was where. For the monthly matches we proceed as Eric noted he would do, the simple solution of naming the stage "Stage [#] - [Name]". Couple people on here have already noted issues with overheating resulting in freezing, low/no responsiveness in touchscreen, or flat out device failure, so keep it as cool as possible! Perhaps find a white cover for it to deflect sunlight, or simply keep it in the shade as often as possible. As far as I know, NST's don't have overheat protection like Apple products do. (If an Apple product notices that it is getting too hot, it first dims the screen to reduce heat from the backlight. If that does not alleviate the temperature rise, it will shut itself off to prevent further damage.) Just giving you a heads up, not trying to sell you an iPad
  5. Eric, if you're looking at the individual shooter, (as in, you've already picked Stage>Squad and have already clicked a shooter and you're on the screen where you can input their time, procedurals, etc) you should see the stage name in the top left. Example from my phone attached (stage name "Pallet Monkey" - top left just under menu buttons):
  6. ^This. Separating Steel/Alphas for those running paper backup/summary makes it tedious and error-prone. The pairing stages option you discussed would be a welcome addition, but what about just giving the ability to choose the order of the screens as an option? Stage>Squad>Shooter makes sense for L2+ matches where the RO's will stay with the stage, but for the majority of Practiscore's use, which will be L1 matches, Squad>Stage>Shooter would make much more sense as the scorer/RO usually moves with the squad, at least in my short experience. (I'm not sure who suggested Squad>Shooter>Stage, but that would be of very limited and rare use such as running the rare "I'm in a hurry" shooter through every stage all at once, I imagine. Squad/Stage/Shooter would be what most people using Practiscore would want, I would be willing to bet.) This could be something added as maybe a little Gear icon to make app-wide changes to settings in one of the corners like many iOS apps, another main menu option like "GUI Options", or perhaps as presets that can be chosen when creating the match. As in, when you create a new match, there would simply be another thing to define. Name: Monthly USPSA Date: June 5, 2012 Display: [dropdown list] Stage>Squad>Shooter Squad>Stage>Shooter Squad>Shooter>Stage Also, thanks for your efforts in staying in touch with us and continually improving a great asset to the practical shooting community!
  7. The whole movie I kept wondering "where is Batman and Spiderman?! are they too busy to help out on this squad?" They got their own feature movies instead, I guess Sadly with Sony owning the rights to Spider-Man and Fox owning the rights to X-Men, we'll never see them in an Avengers movie
  8. Well that trailer is just about everything a trailer oughta be... Dramatic and exciting lol.
  9. It's supposed to be a continuation from "The Incredible Hulk" with Edward Norton as Hulk, where, by the end of the movie, he was able to control it. As it was explained to be by a comic fan, the hulk can still actually lose control in anger, and when he changes under those conditions, he is not controlled. However when he consciously changes, he is under control. I agree that this was not explained too well... In the comics, the Hulk has been both an Avenger, and an enemy to the Avengers. this movie makes me really want to see Cabin in the Woods, also with a hand in by Joss Whedon, with equally glowing reviews...
  10. Does Practiscore not create a new or edit the master registration file that you first import? ... I cannot find an updated one as a I dig through the app files on my iPhone. A few more details and reasoning: A few months ago I imported a master file to the iPhone (from the EWS master). Since then I've used it to score several matches, and that original database has grown with new shooters. I assumed that PS was updating the original master file that I imported, but when I look at the "reg.txt" file in the application folder in the "Inbox" folder of PS, it is the same, unedited master file from months ago. Unless I'm simply not looking in the right folder, this now leads me to believe that PS uses a proprietary database to populate the newer shooters that have been added since the import. What I wanted to do, was download the "new" master file (with all the new shooters that I've added to PS) to my computer, so that I could edit that file as a .tsv in Excel. That way I could much more quickly enter e-mail addresses, USPSA numbers, and make any other corrections through excel instead of having to individually edit shooters in the app. Can someone tell me how to get the "new" master file from the app? Or if it is even possible? Note that I'm using the app iFile to browse my phones internal files to peek around.
  11. Yeah there are a few shows that have been cancelled in the past due to high production cost despite generally good ratings.
  12. My friend in Houston caught one of the early screenings about a week and a half ago I believe. Anyway, he said it was absolutely amazing. It's a tough feat for a movie to meld all those main characters into one story.. and all the reviews so far all say that it was done damn well. It has a 95% on rottentomatoes. There are 2 negative reviews on rotten right now, and the author of one has publicly stated his company likes to "go against the mainsteam to get hits". And the other says that every Twilight was a good movie..... I don't count those opinions LOL. So 100% for me with credible reviewers. I am definitely looking forward to this movie!
  13. I was more surprised that Kyle wasn't calling them out. Though that might have messed with Augies memory... Maybe they told him not to do it to keep it "fair", which would suck because it worked well for him in training, where Augie was the one the struggled.
