  1. I need a magwell, but have a grip angle reduction. I understand that most "all?" magwells fit into the hump that is missing on my glock. Anyone know of anything available? If not I'm thinking of just JB welding one onto the bottom of my pistol. thanks, kyle
  2. Welcome to the forums Slamma. You'll find almost any answer about competition shooting there is, here. A really great place this forum is. To answer your question, I had the same question a couple of years ago, and got the SLP, and I am still running it today. I think it is quality. In fact, I just added a nordic components +2 tube extension tonight. Only other things I did was get some tall sights 1/4" rise, nordic extended bolt handle, I opened up the loading port some, and cut off those 2 sharp fingers on the shell lifter.
  3. Match was as close to perfect as they get. You wanted feedback Kirk, so here goes. not that any of these things are "bad", but....... - prizes were all hidden in glock bags, ROs would not let you look inside, so rather than making people guess maybe put them in say beer flats, or on top of a bag, so folks can see what they might be hoping to win. - overall scores were not posted prior to awards, again, not bad, but I have been skipped on the call out for this very reason, and missed a superior prize (at a different match of course) aside from that....BRAVO! I'll be back next year forshure! Thanks to all, And, glad to meet everyone on Squad #1, bunch of good folks there. Hope to catch up again sometime soon.
  4. I'll second the "badassness" of this match. Did 4 stages, they were what 3 gun is all about.
  5. I use 4.2gr TG under 124gr Montana Gold CMJ, I get a power factor of ~130 good load, I like it.
  6. http://vacation.away.com/missouri/travel-ap-lake-ozark-airports-cid336880.html http://www.jeffcitymo.org/cd/airport/airport.html http://missouri.airportbug.org/airport-9612.html Craig Yea, Sorry, forgot the important info, Thanks West, and Thanks Craig edit: looks like Osage Beach Grand Glaize airport is just a half mile or so from the match hotel.
  7. Well, this will be my first time up this way. Any ideas on which airport I should fly in to? edit: Entry form is in mail.
  8. Yeah, I am a pharmacist. A couple a weeks ago, a dude comes up and ask if I've heard of "lskdjffjls" or whatever it was. I say, "No, not familier", he proceeds to tell me how it cures diabetes, and I should really educate myself better. Holds his nose up high, and walks away never to be seen again. I looked up the stuff, and turns out it's a joke in the medical community, and one experimental study in Germany "showed something" in animals. It pisses me off also.....
  9. 2 Long range shots in the match don't seem unacceptable to me. I do agree about the wind though. It was not a huge factor at this years Larue, but last year..... It was blowing 45mph cross the first day, the second day we pulled up and it was dead calm, and I heard shots coming from 1 & 2 and I almost started whining myself.
  10. Ok, guys no joke at all. I have not pulled my rifle and shotgun out since Larue 09, there was rust all over my rifle comp, and I pulled 18th. So, you don't HAVE to practice. I might do a couple of drills, maybe even oil up my guns for Larue 2011 though, so watch out!
  11. I agree with this post. Don't dumb it down. I felt thoroughly challenged. It wouldnt have been as much fun if it was just a hose em down match. I know what mistakes I made and where I could have improved, and where I did good. No reason to make it easier. My dad and little brother came out and shot with us. It was their first big match ever. They did better then some of the experienced shooters I saw on some of the hardest stuff. We all had a blast. HELL, You want to talk about Iron MAN!! My little brother shot it all with an iron sighted AK and an 870 on purpose!! Great job guys. ETA: I really want to see the results of Stage 7!! I am currently near Birmingham AL, still have over 6 hours of driving tomorrow. Nearly impossible to enter the scores while driving down the interstate (1160 miles one way). I expect to be home tomorrow & I will post them as soon as I can score them. Linda Chico (L-2035) 2010 LaRue Tactical 3 Gun Statistician Nearly immpossible! C'mon Linda, I think you could do it. That's what separates Linda from all the rest.
  12. Dang, it's this weekend! I really need to get some practice in. Maybe in the hotel....
  13. Damn, this is the comment section.....you rock Greg.

  14. Greg,

Thinking about flying my plane down to Larue, If me and all my buds pile in there will be no more room for the ammo.

Is there a place to ship it, so it'll be there for us?

    Thanks,

    kyle

  15. Patrick,

U have any travel arrangements made yet?

    Kyle

  16. I used one with a 3&4 detent (decocker only) and won CDP Sharpshooter at the Tulsa Badlands a couple of years ago. The trigger was factory heavy, but I am a better marksman now that I can manage a heavy trigger well. I'm now on board with the 1911ers though.
  17. Does that include suppressors? The problem with suppressors is the shot timer may not pick up the shot.
  18. Well, too bad the mail doesn't run at night! Mine will have to go out Tuesday.....Oh, the suspense. edit: Where is the range? Cawthon or Cawthorn? Can't seem to find it. Address?
  19. Man, it sure does look fun. If I were a farmer I'd have to get a rotorcraft rating added to my pilots license!
  20. Never flew commercially. I just toss them in the back of my airplane! Get me in the match, and you can fly with me.
  21. Go with a friend, get a $100 room, and split it.......$50 per night!
