  1. Now Kyle I know you are still grining from ear to ear but there might not be a mini gun there this year. Hell, the brisket was what had me grinning, but the minigun was pure ecstasy! Won't matter though, whatever is there.......well, I'm sure Greg won't let us down.
  2. Gator was my first USPSA match, and I am soooo ready to go back!
  3. Patrick, I can't find my letter, but I just may be in squad 26, or 24, or 22.....twenty something with an even number??? Shooting Fri, Sat. I'll let u know when I find it.
  4. I've been watching my wife smoke more and more, just gaining momentum everyday......she has all of the excuses to justify it. I notice she smokes more with her friends around, so I want to be anti-social, b/c I know she will smoke less. It really hurts me/us. I hate it to, and I know what you mean.

    Flying SOLO!

Thanks for all the encouragement my fellow wingmen/wingwomen. I was thoroughly hooked at my first negative G dive on my first flight! It is the best school/learning experience I've ever had, cause you can learn at your own pace. No deadlines, no craming, hell they even give you the answers. What a great time I've had sofar, and the entire curriculum cost as much as ONE semester at college! Pretty cheap if you ask me!

    Flying SOLO!

Yeah, my instructor gave me the heads up on that. I fly a Piper Cherokee, it was great!

    Flying SOLO!

No, not professionally, just for travel, and to expand my personal skill sets. A "greaser" is a landing so smooth you can't tell when the tires touch. Had to share this, what an experience! I got to go again today, and it was still thrilling!
  8. I'm a 13 hour student pilot, and my instructor says, "Give me 3 greasers, and you can solo" I gave him 3, and he said, "stop", and got out! Man, it was like some kind of drug! I'm still high from the whole thing.
  9. Taking my 7yo son to see it tomorrow at the matinee. He is as excited as I am.
  10. I've been in his shop...... low overhead, great deals.
  11. I enjoyed the whole thing. shot faster, did better.
  12. Rattlesnake almost took me out of this world, wait, no, it was the stupid ER workers who shot me up with 5 vials of antivenom IV, that I was highly allergic too. Now that I'm educated on the subject, they should have given me a test dose under my skin to look for a reaction. I woke up 2 days later in ICU, and now I hate venomous snakes. I don't seek them out, but I will destroy venomous snakes on contact.
  13. It's actually an Aeronca Champ. We were looking at the pinup girl, and I asked what her name was, and I swore thats what he said, but I might have misunderstood. That has never happened before
  14. I find that jacketed chrono slower than plated or lead.
  15. Now I am a man who is fond of a hot breakfast. mmmm mmmm!
  16. First time in a plane "that small". I flew in some 4 seaters about 16 years ago when I was active C.A.P., but this was WAY more fun! We took a steep turn all of the sudden, He looked back and said we were dodging a buzzard. I saw it go by. I wouldn't have thought about dodging anything in an airplane! The windows stayed open, we circled several neighborhoods in our small town, tight little spirals. I was overjoyed. I even had a dream about flying in it last night. One day, I could see me doing this type of thing. It has always been a fantasy of mine.
  17. Kyle, at my age my memory is about as long as my, well you know what I mean. I won't say I remember your face, but if I am not mistaken, weren't you the one who got three re-shoots on the moving target stage because it kept jumping the tracks? If so, not to worry, our only moving targets are swingers, clamshells and everyone's favorite, the Texas Star. I will be on Stage 4, be sure and say hello. PAT Your memory serves you well! That was the stage that John was working no less! Really looking forward to it
  18. A local pilot who shops at my store brings in aerial photos from time to time, and I always ask him, "When you gonna take me up?" After 3 years of this, He looks out the window at the sky and says, "Can you meet me at the airport in 20 minutes." We went by and looked at some timber he wanted to see then flew a few circles over my house so I could wave at my wife and 7 year old. My boy got a kick out of it, but not as much as I did! I hope I get to go up again soon. The Veronica Champ is her name. BTW, I don't fly commercially, but flying around texting on a cell phone with a snubby in my pocket felt pretty funny.
  19. Pete, a smith for Clark Custom regularly shoots our IDPA matches with a 5 shot snubby. He also uses FULL power loads. I respect him for not conforming.\ Great practice also.
  20. Check out FNH SLP. Pretty much set up for 3-gun already. Love mine. Let us know.
  21. And how was that any different than any other day!!!!!!!! I like setting up myself for this type of thing
  22. sight alignment, trigger control
  23. Bwana, You were on my first ever squad, at the gator classic. I don't know if you remember me, but I was the slow production guy with the confused look on my face. Looking forward to MS Classic now.
