  1. I have not sent my money in yet but I am planning on going.
  2. Any word on lady's? Wondering how Jessie Abbate was doing.
  3. Yeah it is not that Paul needs any help. I understand Bubber is hell with comp 3's but Paul ain't no slacker.
  4. Hell brother I got a year on you and I am still kicking. To qoute Doc Holiday, "I'm in my prime"
  5. Sadly I only meet Charlie a few months ago and didn't get to spend near enough time with him. He was a good friend of and to my brother. Charlie shot some cowboy matches but ask they not time him, he just did it because he loved to shoot. He held informal 22 matches for his friends every Monday in his garage. He wrote a chapter in the book Skeeter Skeltons wife wrote after Skeeters untimely passing. And Sheriff Jim Wilson wrote about Mr Charlie in an article in the Feb 08 I think Shooting Times.
  6. I have Ed Browns on my comp guns and like them. I kinda use them like a thumb rest. Kinda?!?! To be honest I could be perfectly happy with the new factory release. They work just about as good as the Ed Brown. I have not tried the Hogue, it seems a bit unnatural to me to move the thumb that much but as i said I have not tried it.
  7. Well good luck. It didn't generate any comment way back then. I still have not tried it. I have not had time to experiment with it.
  8. You can shoot major with it if you like. It is really very easy to make major with 160gr bullets in 38 special cases. AND read the rules you can make major in revolver with a 38. I have not moon clipped a 686 but I have a couple of 19's and love them. They are not as fast reloading as a 625 I don't think anything is. However I have compared my reload time with my 625, 610 and moon clipped 19's and I am only a few tenths of a second slower with my 19's than I am with my 625. In a local match probably won't make that much difference.
  9. Yeah just call them up. They sent me one free.
  10. I was just looking at the results from the Washington State steel match. The speed option times look MIGHTY fast, almost like they did reward the 2 second for hitting the option plate.
  11. Happy Birthday Mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the rest of you guys.
  12. I made Eagle in 1988. Like Mike I BARELY got my project finished, I turned it in the day before my 18th birthday. I was also in the OA. I have said it many times Boy Scouts kept me out of a LOT of trouble.
  13. It sounds more like the bullets are undersize and not sealing the bore. A common problem with commercial bullets. Another common problem with commercial bullets is their alloy is too hard. AND yet another common problem with commercial bullets is the cheap lube they use. Here is the answer to your cast bullet leading problems. Cast your own. You can size them to fit your gun. You can use good lube that works. You can taylor your alloy. I shoot almost nothing but my own cast bullets. I DON'T have leading.
  14. I would not want to try a Limcat or SpeedSec for USPSA. Like Mikes problem too many crazy starting positions and to much movement. For Steel Challenge I have thought about trying something like a Limcat or Speed Sec. Draw speed means more in steel most of the time anyway.
  15. She nailed it didn't she. She was ask a few times if those tears were real. She said yes and she earned every damn one of them. She had just gone through a divorce when she wrote it.
  16. If you let .355 be scored major that would mean I could shoot my 8 shot 357 in limited 10 and kick azz.
  17. Old school tacticool and new school tacticool. The top one is from the early 90's before there was any of the drop in stuff. It was built to shoot prairie dogs. It has over 1000 kills at ranges out to just under 200yrds. I have a group I shot with it once. 5 shots at 50 yards. .022 group. It was not just drop in everything on it was machined to fit.
  18. My TacSol custom 10/22 with custom shop Leupold scope.
  19. A small lathe makes it nice but they still need to be reamed so it ain't worth the hassle. Shoot the 38's as is or buy short colt cases
  20. WOW!!!!! Thanks! Happy Birthday Roger! Happy Birthday to the rest of you folks.
