  1. My buddy was not real happy with the accuracy of 45 acp out of his and has since sold it. His was a super redhawk 454 though so the that may make a difference. I love the Redhawk but I don't see them being a good option for this anyway. I agree with you on how Smith has been treating us lately but right now I don't see any other option.
  2. I never figured out what the problem is with the strain screw. Brownells sells some little templates to do this. Doing it with a dremel will take some time, a belt sander would be much better.
  3. Yep no fruit, just smell. I suppose they smell a bit like rotting meat, I think they smell like rotting male produce bodily fluid. The person that owned my house before me planted 2 of the damn things. Even if they were not in my yard the house right across the street has a line of the things so I would still be in trouble.
  4. Well Mike my buddy had his converted for moons with 45 Colt. Those moon clips are only .022 or .025 thick. To shoot 45 acp he just had 625 moon clips ground down to .022. IF you are only going to shoot 45 acp you could have the cut made .040 deep and not have to worry about it.
  5. The way it oughta be.
  6. Mike, my buddy just comfirmed they would work. He had some 625 moonclips surface ground to fit his Redhawk.
  7. Mike HKS speedloaders for 44's work for Smiths and Ruger Redhawks. So I would be willing to lay money they are on the same bolt circle. I do know they can be cut for moonclips. I know a few folks that have had it done. I will ask around and see it any of them have tried the Ruger moon clips in Smiths.

    Open G19

I like the mount for the Docter optic scope.
  9. Guys it just occurred to me that Paul and I will be at Area 6 the third Saturday in April. ICORE will probably still be held, but we will have to get either the club manager or someone else to run the match. If we cannot get anyone , I will post a cancellation here. I am not shooting area 6. If you get someone to run it I will help in anyway I can.
  10. They smell like,,,,,,,well this is a family show so I won't say what I think they smell like other than they stink. AND my wife, son, and I have not been able to breathe for a week.
  11. Next month, I will be there. I had too many thing planned for this month. Mikey357 if you want to go lets get together and road trip over there.
  12. Too late......you've already shot it......its depreciated at least 50% in value. Don't worry.....I'll let you fingerbang it after Brian. And I may even be there. Then I may do what I did last Tuesday evening, go practice.
  13. You could let me shoot it. Heck I will do you one better than that I will trade you my Sabre Defence AR for it. You have wanted that rifle since I won it
  14. Happy Birthday Scrat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make sure that papa of yours treats you right. Happy Birthday to the rest of you folks as well.
  15. It could easily be made to take 45 acp.
  16. I don't know anything about IDPA so I can't help you.

    A Class

Thats ALWAYS the way it works. I mabe B revolver just before area 6 last year. I made B limited just before NC state last year. I am not shooting another classifier. Really congratulations.
  18. I am looking to buy one or two. Anbody have one for sell?
  19. My PC 38 super headspaces off of the moon clips. It won't fire without the clips. I tried to load some 38 super rounds in a 38 special speedloader. The rims are too small for them to hold. If I had a 686SSR I would run speedloaders in both SSR and ESR. I would use minor in SSR and major in ESR. I think it is possible to get the cylinder cut for moon clips and run 38 special or 357 magnum ammo with moonclips. I understand you can still load loose rounds or use speedloaders after this conversion. You are correct. If done properly you can use loose rounds, speedloaders, and moon clips. With 38/357 guns that have been cut for moon clips.
  20. I will get them from TK customs. Accuracy? I don't know.
