kct45acp
After trying for 3 years to move up in ESR. The third sanction match I shoot in SSR has enough shooters to bump me from SS to EX. Now a 5 gun expert
astephenson
Alex StephensonA26175 SSP - SS SSR - MM by classifier. I (unintentionally) shoot classifiers very poorly. It's the only time I ever get nervous while on the clock. It is for that reason I've just about decided if I ever move to a higher classification, it'll be by way of a bump at a major. Got bumped to SS in SSR last weekend by way of classifier (surprisingly). Shaved about 20 seconds off my time since I first shot it with the wheelgun in April. I wish I could make that much progress EVERY two months.

HOOLIHAN
I've only been shooting IDPA for 8 months. Never shot any other action shooting sport before. I'm a 5 gun SS, and just got bumped to EX CDP last weekend. I've shot 6 matches in total, won 4 out of 5 local matches, and took 2nd CDP SS and 3rd overall CDP at this years WYO. state championship. I'm very pleased with my progress thus far. The info on this forum has been a great help and inspiration for me. Thanks to all who post. Chris Christian
All via Classifier SSP - MA SSR - Ex (will be MA after next Classifier) ESP - EX CDP - Ex (took 1st EX CDP at FL State 2009 by 19 seconds and beat 2 of the 5 MAs... but not enough shooters for a bump) ESR - don't own one... don't plan on owning one. RE: MAs at club matches. In NE FL MAs are few and far between. I've seen 90 shooter club matches with only 2 MAs, and 45 shooter matches with none. Hatchet Jack
CDP - Marksman SSP - SS ESP - SS Never had any use for revolvers. They're for dinosaurs! You know - the self-deluding old guys who watched too many westerns when they were kids. My IDPA membership expired a few months back & there ain't that many IDPA matches in my neck of the woods here in Iowa anyway. Got laid off from my job last month so I won't be travellin' to any distant matches. So for me the IDPA game is going to be on hold for quite a spell... Looking forward to goose season this fall though. Geese are damn tasty if you know how to cook 'em right.

nashvillebill
Congratulations! Which brings up a point I've pondered lately. How many IDPA 5 gun masters are actually out there? I don't expect an answer, just wondering.
Bill Nesbitt
How many IDPA 5 gun masters are actually out there? I don't expect an answer, just wondering. Nine listed on the IDPA web site. But I figure there are others like jmorris and me that kept the $50 and just posted here. jmorris, congratulations.
