shooterDrew
SSP - Master Got stuck in EX for a while and never really shot the classifier very well. Finally got a match bump after winning SSP overall at Indiana State this year. Woo hoo! Finally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thomas H
In another thread the idea has been put forth that 8-percent-and-some-change of IDPA shooters are Master class. That would mean that one out of every 12 IDPA members is a Master class shooter. If I'm wrong I'll certainly be the first to admit it, but my immediate reaction is, "I am SO not buying that." Edited to fix database weirdness.... Running it again, making certain it is actually including the database of all members.... Using the member's database on the IDPA.com website (which should include everyone, considering match directors are supposed to use this to check classifications for major matches): In SSP Division, there are: DM/MA: 588 EX: 1213 SS: 3152 MM: 4901 NV: 1816 ....so 5% of all classified SSP shooters are Masters. (In ESP it is 4.2%, and in CDP it is 4.6%.) So not 1 in every 12, but for SSP, one in every 20 shooters is classified MA. In ESP and CDP, more like one in every 25.
