I have a 4.25 and a 5”. I’ve heard that triggers can be hit or miss. I got 1 hit and one miss. The 4.25 was 5+ with creep. The 5” was good at just under 4 and crisp. The creep worked out of the 4.25” and a C&S sear spring brought it down to about same as 5”. Both functioned fine but may drop to 10# recoil in 5” for my game loads. Felt no more “bump” in the disconnector of either gun than any other new 1911 I’ve ever had.
I emailed Earl at Carl Walther and asked if he’d heard of a spring change. Let you know what he says. I haven’t had any problems with mixed range brass yet.
Does anyone know if Brownells 9mm 10 round mags are Metalform? Except for the coating they look exactly like my Dawson’s. Want to be sure before I order Dawson baseplates. Thanks
Fair enough. Just shared an opinion as you did. BTW, if we went back in time as you said, no internal trigger mods either cause I ain’t carrying a glock with a sub 3 pound trigger.
Also a Q5SF shooter.
There are 3 guns, Beretta 92x, Sig X5 Legion, and CZ Shadow 2 that are factory stock, non “race guns” but don’t meet weight requirements. Isn’t it time to adjust the rules enough to let these stock guns in?
