Sparky
I just got my 6 inch STI 40sw built by a buddy of mine that builds his own guns (Mike Steven). Its got the best parts and APW hard chrome (they did an excellent job). When I can figure out how to post pictures, I will. I'm going out this afternoon to shoot it for the first time since its been plated.

The slide cuts are fantastic and Mike did a great job on every part of this gun and it has a bushing barrel .

jimmcc
I played with this Freedom Gunworks last weekend. It is super tight, points great (6"), and looks better in person than these pictures depict. I'm jealous!

rkgsmith
Love the guns, winter is looking like gunbuilding time for me. What type of holsters are you guys using. I'd be looking for something for 3 gun with a little extra security for running and crawling around.
want2race
Hello: I thought I would post some pics of the "Glimmer Twins". The one pistol has a bull barrel that Matt Cheely fluted and also one of his slides that I fitted to the frame. The other is my bushing barrel that Benny Hill helped me fit together. I want to shoot them to see if I like the lightened bull barrel or the bushing barrel. I know I did not like the full bull barrel. So here are the "Glimmer Twins" Thanks, Eric Hey, one of those grips looks familiar! Although now it has a double undercut.

ah1356
Here's my new toy. This is ready to shoot just in time to still make the centennial. The cocking serrations are binary for "1911" and "2011," and we threw in a Hi-Power cut for good measure. I'm going to shoot it in the white for a while and probably remove some more weight at some point. Right now it weighs 40.4 ounces. This is my first 6-inch gun so I plan to experiment for a while and look for the weight and balance that fits me best. This was built by my good friend Tim Calhoun in Kingston Springs, TN. Happy New Year! Aaron

Is it my imagination or is that something other than an SV magwell on that beast? It certainly doesn't look like the SV unit on mine. ETA: Nevermind - it's their XL magwell. Gotta ask Brandon about this one.... Edited February 18, 2012 by lumpygravy
