  1. I'm from NE Ohio as well.. My profile still says Columbus i think, but as of this friday I'll be moved back to my house in Ravenna. Looking forward to getting back into the groove. I've missed my own personal shooting range for the last two years I've lived in central Ohio..
  2. Are you in the market for a 6" race gun?

  3. Let me think about that for a few...

  4. Awesome thanks for the link. I've been ordering my stuff from northern brewer lately, but have heard a lot of positive things about Austin homebrew supply. I read alot of the forums at homebrewtalk and just like this forum learn alot from what I read. I have been finding that brewing is as cheap or expensive that you want to make it. So far I've got very little invested. Mostly stuff I've pieced together. The keggles were free, etc etc.
  5. Glad to see there's a few here that enjoy brewing. Like all other new brewers my first batches were all extract batches. I'm ready to step up to all grain now tho. I understand the basics and I'm very careful with sanitization. I currently have two sanke kegs that I'm ordering all the parts to turn them into keggles. I'm in a quandary tho, one will be for my boil kettle, another for a hot liquor tun, but what should I use as a mash tun? A 10 gal rubbermaid drink cooler? Or should I get another keg? What say you?
  6. So, I've recently taken up the hobby of brewing my own beer. I like craft beers a lot and really enjoy super hoppy IPA's as well as other (non) commercial beers. I'm waiting for my 5th batch to finish in the fermentor. The wait sucks but the satisfaction is amazing! I recently poured my first home brew ( a spiced pumpkin ale) and honestly its amazing! Ive been busy collecting equipment to turn my garage into a home brewery, but its a nice past-time. Nothing like cracking open one of your own brews and relaxing. Just thought I'd toss this out there and see if theres others that enjoy the same hobby.
  7. I had that same problem. What I ended up doing was tilting the grip more away from my body. Basically what that did was when I drew it tilted the holster back towards my body enough so there was zero bind. Its smooth as ever now. Also with more draws it will loosen up just enough to the point where binding is a non-issue
  8. "I loves my guns"... and my coffee. I think a stop at Starbucks for an overpriced coffee on the way home is in order!... can I get a Harump ...
  9. My wife and I who are newly married are trying to have our first child... honestly.... I'm scared to death! I hope to enjoy what every other father is entitled to, but pray to GOD he or she doesn't behave like their father did in high school/college.. lets just say I've "enjoyed" my adolescence... I am beginning to have an understanding as to why my father has so many grey hairs...
  10. Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll start calling the various makers tomorrow and see what they say.
  11. BBQ? For an eagle? Got a pic nevermind... I googled BBQ gun, I feel dumb now.. lol
  12. I've googled this off and on for months and have yet to really find anything. I'm looking for a LEATHER owb holster - snap or scabbard style. My eagle will fit in a 1911 holster if I cram it in there, but good luck getting it out. Mainly due to the wider dust cover and square trigger guard I assume. does anyone have any suggestions as to a holster maker, custom or not, that has a mold for an sti eagle? Ive also wondered if it will fit in a holster designed for a duty one with a front rail (due to the width of the rail being similar to the width of the eagle's dust cover. Milt sparks and TT gun leather both replied that they do not make them, tho I would LOVE to own one by either maker. So I'm looking to see if you folks have any suggested holsters to look at. No kydex please. Mods, if this should be in another sub forum, feel free to move it.
  13. I did something similar, I waited until the wife went out of town for the weekend and went to lowes to the scratch and dent section and picked up a fairly sturdy workbench. Brought it home and stayed up half the night assembling it and reinforcing it. Woke up the next morning, cleaned up my mess from the night before and cleaned the rest of the place.. She gets home and says "why is it so clean in here" a few minutes later she says. "what did you buy this time".... I said, O a new reloading bench and a new Milwuakee 18v Cordless drill so I could put it together.... (we live in an apartment half way across the state from a house that we own, because of work) When I showed it to her she said.. O thats not so bad, it actually looks pretty good.. I NEVER expected that answer.
  14. what Jax said... thats my pet load for .45 soft and accurate.
  15. I was blaming this crazy weather and time warner... But no... Your right... It was down
  16. Can you elaborate what it is you don't like a out the 6"? I initially wanted a 5" short dust cover and when I started shopping around and asking questions, Bobby Keigans suggested I go with a 6". I thought about it and read everything I could about 6" guns.. I went ahead and got a 6" bull barrel with spiral fluting. The slide is uber lightened as well.. It is very flat shooting, and cycles very fast. I actually prefer the timing of the gun with major pf ammo over minor. The recoil is very tame as well.
  17. I made that exact switch last summer, i like the Lighter recoil from clays better, but the biggest reason i switched was because titegroup was so filthy to shoot. I used to make it out to my personal range on the farm 5 out of 7 days a week and i would come inside wearing half a tub of powder.. So now that ive started loading for .40, I'll reserve the tightgroup for whenever i run out of my stash of N320 and need it in a pinch.
  18. I know its been covered a few times and when i searched i came up with 5 threads that really dont address the cure to the problem. While reloading .40 on my 650, (using a u-die as well). My brass (extremely clean - stainless wet tumbled) sticks so bad on my powder die.. I mean it sticks really bad, to the point that my right arm is tired after 100 rounds. I case lube with hornady 1-shot, but still no fixey.. My brass is all mixed range brass, like i say resized with a u-die, cleaned and lubed. My bell is just enough to set the bullet in as well. I read threads where people have sent there powder funnel off to starline and they take a couple thousandths off. Anyone else have this problem to the extreme?
  19. Have used both the Ghost and am now running the RaceMaster. Saul has mailed me replacement parts (yeah, I lost 'em) for no cost. LockTite has now become my friend.... :-) Saul mailed the replacements from Europe..... HH I dont have experience the a ghost, but can speak of the excellent customer service from Saul.. I lost my tensioner screw and spring (completely my fault), I contacted Saul and he replied within an hour or two saying the parts were on there way... No charge! His customer service is really what keeps me coming back, let alone i love the holster. Next i will buy the mag pouches and sell my plastic cr speeds.
  20. Ditto! Same here.. That would be why I belong to this awesome forum.
  21. I never leave without double checking... Its so freaking aggravating. Around here Taco Bell is the worst!
  22. Thats exactly what it was.. pulled it all apart put it back together ... and 22 rounds again... (not reloadable)
