Good job with those. The speed on the 1050 processing machine is smoking. The 650 is for processing too, right? Have you done one for actual reloading? Or are they all for processing? Oh , also, is that a sensor between the case feed slide and resizing die so that if a case topples, the press stops? Micro-switch?

I totally understand that however Mark 7 phrased the term "dwell time" because at that specific Point during rotation they saw I need to have different speeds. PW just uses that part of the stroke to allow the arms over index, to return itself. They call it Dwell time because they are retarding the speed at that specific point. PW has no specific set up at that indexing point other than to just return the arm.

Actually, I do not believe there is dwell time in the PW, that's just a delay so that the arm can actually cycle the press without jamming it , based on the shaft 360° Revolution. The Mark 7 has three dwell/ delay times for the indexing so that if the powder volume is very high in the case it will not spill during indexing (ie: compressed load). This is so that when you are loading 1,800 rounds per hour, that you don't spill a lot of powder. And so that rifle calibers will have enough time for the powder measure to fully filled the case and not start indexing immediately again during the down stroke. The press also stops if the primer warning comes on. So if you're out of primers the press stops . If you set a specific amount of components (ie: bullets, primers, cases ), say 250, The press will keep counting down and stop at the selected number

Actually, several people from MIT designed it. I think 4 people from MIT. I've met 3 of them. I have one and it operates smoothly during the down stroke and the upstroke. It does not operate anything like the PW. The motor doesn't just continually rotate while a bent arm allows for the over indexing while the machine runs. It also doesn't have a little rubber washer to act as the clutch. The digital motor runs it exactly how you would by hand but is actually removing the physical activity. When more pressure is sensed versus what you actually set the machine to, the machine instantly stops. With the PW, I have bent many primer punches, crushed cases, and literally agitated the press so much that the powder cap actually burst off the machine , spilling powder all over the place and require me to set the machine up again. I had a case upside down in the Mark 7 and on the down stroke the machine actually stopped and did not even bend the primer punch. I jogged it back up , removed the case, and started up again. No problems at all. The way it operates is actually quite remarkable. The adjustable speed's and the dwell time make it really easy to use depending on how fast you wanted to be. I was told that sensors will soon be available for the primers and powder. However, On the tablet that comes with it there are imputs for bullets, primers, and cases. So you can set it up to how many cases, primers, or bullets and just let it run to that number. The set up was quite easy and took just a few minutes. I was actually quite surprised at how simple the set up was. Then when I ran it, I thought the little anxious not knowing how it would react, but it just kept running smoothly and consistently. Like I said, when that one case was upside down in the machine stopped it startled me. But nothing crushed, popped, or jammed up. I simply jog back, removed the case, and started up again with no issues . Then proceed to load 500 rounds that were match grade. Pretty cool really .....

Nice group at 50. That's a tack driver! The grips look like a direct copy of Infinity's in regard to texture. I guess they just copied right from SV's, but the trigger guard looks real bulky and blocky looking. I would still be interested to know how many major PF loads have been tested on that grip? 2 months is not a long time. I remember those STI grips that would crack after a while. I crack 6 of those things (cracking was the issue and why they were discontinued). It eventually led to breaking the small tang hole on the front of the frame. Those were drop on as well which led to problems. Infinity's are all precisely hand fit and polished. A tight hand fit is what you want. I have an Infinity with well over 40k and no cracks like you wrote in the post you edited. You said because of the 2 piece Infinity grip that it would crack. That hasn't happened to me but what I like is that the 2 piece allows several variations in regard to grip set up. I have a single undercut but can get a double undercut, and if I don't like it, I can switch it back. I guess that grip is considered a mild texture. Infinity offers mild, median, and aggressive (to aggressive for me) grips which gives several choices if you want a full metal grip (like the one they copied). I use the grip tape on mine which is inlayed in the grip (so its form fitting). I guess this grip imitates the standard SV grip. I originally used the large grip from Infinity but have since gone with their Signature grip which is ergonomically efficient to my hand. I know many shooters that use this as it totally improves the feel of a 1911. It's a world of difference. I originally liked the large but after using the Signature grip, I'm not going back. One thing that is wrong though is saying that these grips are cheaper. Grip for grip, that's just not the case. I think you are including all the pieces that came with my grip in your overall price. Like the trigger bow, mainspring housing, mag release, and button. Infinity's grip alone is around $385.(?) The whole kit is $600 something. Does the Trinity come with these pieces? Again, nice group! That should be a Bianchi gun.

Mr.Blackman, I told you it was a simple issue. I'm glad you retained your "Ferrari" as it is an amazing machine and has the ability to evevate your potential with refined techniques. One quick note: if you are using an AFTEC, you will probably have to remove martial off the side of the barrel where the extractor needs clearance( when in battery). You'll see that there is a minor relief cut for the Infinity extractor but the AFTEC has a larger "hook" area. It actually spaces closer to the barrel and will hit the barrel which eventually will break the extractor. Please check to see if its hitting. Use a sharpie and cover the head of the hook and also the relief area on the barrel. Cycle it about 20 to 30 times then take apart and check for wear marks. Many AFTECs have broke because of this. Sir, if you are shooting Open and don't know how to check extractor tension then I recommend learning. It's fairly simple and would easily have solved the issue. I'm sure Brandon put good tention on it and test fired it like he does with every gun. Maybe his ammo measures a little looser on the rim, therefore making it tight on yours. Instead of jumping on a forum to complain, I suggest just calling him and I can assure you it will be resolved immiediately. Infinity doesn't have the name and reputation everyone knows of because they build non functioning guns. You' ve recieved several offers of people willing to buy it off you sight unseen. I think that speaks volumes right there. If you have any questions you can PM me and I'll be glad to assist you fine tuning the extractor. In 3 to 5 minutes , your gun will be running 100%. I wouldn't be to quick to get rid of your "Ferrari F1". You'll regret it. And every high performance machine needs fine tuning . Regards, Bill

PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma Been there, done that. Physical therapy for 6 months-nothing. From STEM to ultrasound to bands and daily massage therapy, to everything else. Nothing. I imagine not doing anything for a year would help but thats not an option. Depending on how bad your condition is PRP could be a great option. Mine hurt everyday, all the time when picking up objects or even trying to hold my gun. I had tendonopathy (advanced tendonitis). Cortisone is really a bandaid and can lead to further isssues. If your condition is minor it could help but cortisone actually weakens the tendons After I had PRP done, I was 80% better in 2 weeks. Second injection and two weeks later I was at 95%. Amazing. Proffesional sports teams have been doing it for years. Its one of the reasons you'll see a player pull a groin, shoulder or tear a muscle and will play next weeks game. Research it, see if its right for you, and consider it. This ruined my '09 season, but once done I wish I had done it a year earlier. I would not hesitate doing it again. I don't mean to sound harsh but the people that are discounting the way Infinity conducts business are not understanding how Infinity conducts THEIR business. They are not trying to release as many pistols as quickly as possible, make a quick dollar, and be like every other manufacturer in the business. It really is all about building as close to perfection as can be attained. Please do not ridicule how quickly a company releases products if you are not part of the company. They understand how business works and chose to work they way they do because they know it is right. They make every piece of the firearm in the Factory. EVERY LITTLE PART. They don't buy them from other manufacturers in other countries and then just stick them in pistols. I personally have seen Brandon "scrap" a brand new barrel because it was not cosmetically perfect. I've also seen him and the guys fit, polish, and assemble pieces for hours that most gunsmiths fit in a 1/4 of the time. Again, it's not about pushing out numbers but building the highest quality pistol that can be built. Seriously, I looked at the barrel, saw a little buffing mark (buffing as in polishing mark, not a scratch), and said,"What are you talking about? Your crazy!" He said every part must be perfect in function and perfect in fit. When you or anyone recieve your Infinity, you will appreciate every minute it took to complete. There is not another pistol that comes close. I truely believe this and can attest to it. Ironically, I've said this for a long time (the host of Top Shot said something close to it when Infinity pistols were used). A custom gun is like a Mustung or Camaro, but with Infinity's IMM guns you are driving in a Ferrari. Regarding Infinity's lead time please also consider that other gunsmiths take 6 to 8 months lead time when they buy every piece of the pistol and just assemble it. Infinity builds and refines every piece of the pistol except for springs (for the moment). To everyone on this thread who has a Infinity on order, I'm as excited as you are. The wait will be well worth it. When you recieve it you will have a new appreciation for IPSC/USPSA style pistols. This gun will get you to the next level in your shooting performance. Trace, Your Infinity 6 is the sharpest liminted gun I've ever seen. Maybe you'll let me burn some rounds on it!!! I'll be down there Nov.3 - 7, please stop by so we can hang out. Wow!!! That's some awesome shooting guys! What great RO's and stage designs. A little bit of everything challenging except for long distance targets (I'm not complaining!). God hooked us up with the weather because although rain was in the forcast all day, it never dropped a bit during the match. Again, great videos and good shooting!

I can't wait for you to get the new pistol. Seriously, the first time you pick it up, you won't put it down for about an hour. Then 5 minutes after you put it down, you'll go right back and pick it up again. Not only are they well designed and perfect fit machines, they are also works of art. I used to think of my guns as "just a tool", like a hammer, screwdriver, etc....but once I got an Infinity, I found a new respect for the cosmetics of a gun. As everyone has already stated, Brandon will build you an amazing machine and cater the gun to suit your needs. By the way, I don't mean to sound harsh or disrespectful (that is not my intention in any way) but NOBODY does trigger job like Brandon. FLAWLESS........ L10 addresses practical for those guns that don't neatly fall into Production, or Limited, or to an extent Singlestack. It serves a purpose as a place where folks with oddball guns can play with what they brung or own..... What guns fall in between these divisions?

Quick note in Chris Tilleys defense: Where was the gun sighted in at and who sighted in the gun? Example if you sight in a gun for 10 yards, do YOU know where to hold the sight off to connect at 50 yards if you are going for a bullseye? You should come to the Florida Open if you want to see accuracy. Many 25 to 40 yard shots.....on poppers too.

Loki, post a picture of your Infinity! How many barrel ports and what comp (Infinity's 2 port or 3?) I know you'll be pleased. Pat, is that picture with the original IMM or the top end you put on after?

Loki, my slide has the rear swooped with a slide racker installed. As for more lightening, the gun is about.500 shorter and there is material removed for the hybrid rib (ports), then the rear swoop. This lightens the gun to a certain number for the gun to operate effectively. Infinity has done a lot or R&D work and they use an optimal slide weight which works very well for the gun without hurting the integrity and longevity of the gun with major loads. I used to do a lot of lightening cuts but, to a point, gained nothing but aesthetics. You want to remove some weight, but you are correct that taking to much away can be a issue with durability. If you are attending any major matches(mostly east coast and central), I'm more than willing to allow you to burn some rounds on my gun. Infinity's platform is a runner........... Give Brandon a call. He'll gladly answer any questions. My gun is also in 38 Super comp.................

Loki, If you are going to get an SV IMM (which is a great choice) then I suggest trying a 4 port barrel with their 2 port Ti comp. This is the flattest shooting gun I've shot yet. I have tried many different barrel port configurations and none have performed as well as this set up. The weight of their guns is also centralized which gives a well balanced feel. This attribute allows for more precise transitions and a lot better/confident feel when shooting on the move. Some guns feel balanced when you hold them but when you actually shoot them you will notice a difference. I highly recommend getting an IMM with the 4 port barrel and 2 port Ti comp.

SV/ Infinity has just come out with a new Large magwell that is large like the Dawson style. It's not polymer but is nice and large. This may help with grip along your palm as well as give a large opening for those smooth easy reloads. It's listed on their products webpage under "various small parts". Looks good!!
