  1. I'm using an Olympic Arms .40 that take Glock mags. 180 at Major is reliable. Never ran it over the chrono.
  2. I have an Olympic Arms .40 AR that takes the Glock mags. I played with building a 30rd mag with limited success but the factory 22rd have ran flawless. You fan get an A3 upper from them if you ask for just a little money more than the A2. I had the $60 upgraded trigger done also and it was definitely better than stock but I've dropped my AR Gold in it and forgot about it. Just another option for someone like me that didn't want to reload specifically for a carbine when loading for a Limited pistol.
  3. I have an Olympic Arms AR in .40 and it runs the 22 round mags great. I did try to build a "frankenmag" to get 30 rounds but it didn't like it. I also called Olympic to order it because I wanted a flat top instead of the A2 and they told me 6-8 weeks and didn't charge much for the switch. Three weeks later my dealer called that it was in! Now this was 5 or 6 years ago but I was impressed. I've never tried shooting further than 30 yards so I can't comment on the accuracy at 100.
  4. I have FTE with my 20 with a KKM .40 barrel and 6" Lone Wolf slide. Any recommendations?
  5. I have a Gen4 35 with a KKM conversion barrel in it and love it! I'm loading MG 124's with 4,2gr of N320 making minor and this is the softest gun I've ever shot. We tried the same load in an STI limited gun, a stock 34, and a stock 17L and it still didn't compare. Next I'm going to try a conversion barrel in my 24 and see if there's any difference. I'm not sure if it's the heavier barrel filling the .40 hole in the slide or what but I do like this setup.
  6. I love mine but bought it off of another member so I don't have much build info. It runs flawlessly with AA hulls.
  7. Could you post a picture with both guns at slide lock? I'd like to see the sight tracker's barrel better. Great looking guns by the way!

    9mm Conversion

I need to try a Minor load in .40 for a comparison.

    9mm Conversion

I'm running a Gen4 35 with a KKM conversion barrel and an IMSI 13lbs recoil spring on a captured tungsten recoil rod. I didn't change the ejector or extractor and have 0 failures in 1000 rounds. Your results may vary. I do know that this is the softest shooting gun I own with 4.2 of N320 and a 124 MG. It's like a .22!

    Limcat?

I bought a used Razorcat in 38SC with 10,000 rounds on it, sent it to Johny for a 9MM conversion and put 7,000 rounds through it. Not a single issue!

    KKM Barrels

I've bought 2 of them for my G20 (1 for the stock slide- 1 for the 6" slide) that are 10-40 conversion barrel. Both needed a little grinding at 7/8 o'clock to run 180 gr MG JHP. After that they've ran great and are super accurate.
  12. Pics before Cheely but you see the gold a little better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Is that chrome on the frame or something else? Looks almost gold.Dawson had it done for me years ago BEFORE gold went to $1900 an ounce and was around $500. It's 14kt if I remember right.
  14. G20 Lone Wolf 6" slide with Cheely lightening, KKM 10-40 6" barrel, Taylor Freelance mag extensions. This thing shoots really soft but still needs a little tweaking. I built it so that I'd have a Glock that felt similar to my STI. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Dawson Super Tuned with Cheely slide lightening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Love this gun! I bought it used in 38SC and had Johny fit a 9MM barrel to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    22rd. mag & TF +8?

I received my 33rd springs and they are the same lenght as the 22rd so I kept it in. I loaded to a full 30 and shot at intermittent speeds and had zero issues. Granted this was only one mag and time will tell the tale. Kylehb I do like the idea of swapping followers. Ill try that next if I have any issues with my contraption!
  19. I have an Olympic Arms AR in .40 with the Glock lower and want the highest capacity mag that will run reliably. I put a Taylor Freelance +8 on a stock 22 round mag and it holds a true 30 rounds. I used the original spring from the mag because it was longer than the one that came from TF. I haven't had a chance to fire it but loading it and pushing the rounds out by hand everything seems to be ok and it feels as though there's enough spring pressure. Has anyone ever tried this combo or something else in .40? I do have a spring for the 33rd 9 MM mag coming in case I need more spring. All info is greatly appreciated.
  20. While I was dedicated to Limited I decided I wanted a .40 carbine. I ordered an Olympic Arms A3 that uses Glock mags and have been happy. Just took a couple 22 round mags and Dawson extensions and done. It may have just a small amount more recoil than a 9MM but really smashes down pistol steel!
  21. Is Nordic exclusively producing uppers for JP? I'm looking for a trainer also.
  22. When you shot it in the 6 matches while waiting were you shooting 38SC or 9? If 9 how did it perform? Not at all surprised you chose a new comp with fewer ports for the 9 retro fit. I was certain I would do the same, and still may, for the new 9 barrel. That was my first inclination as well as the advice I received from several well known custom builders I spoke to. However, since shooting it has performed so well with the existing comp that is on the 38SC I just might use an identical one on the 9. I didn't try shooting 9MM through the 38SC barrel. I bought enough SC brass to try it while I waited for the conversion to 9. As far as the comp- I didn't pick how I wanted it I just trusted Johny. He sent me load data for both calibers and I am happier with the 9.
  23. I bought a used Limcat in 38SC and shot it in. 6 matches while I waited my turn at Johny's shop. He fit a 9MM barrel, comp, and extractor to my slide. The 9 comp has one less chamber on the end and doesn't use the side "wing" popple holes like the 38SC. Both were tack drivers but I actually like the dot tracking better with the 9!
