Good question. It's been a week, shouldn't we be seeing something on the USPSA

members page?

I doubt there is any truth to Voit stepping down. not running again might be a possibility. At the Members meeting at Nationals (odd how FEW people showed up) nothing was even hinted towards.

Any idea who might run if Voigt doesn't?

There was a sign up at the Buckeye match last month that read "Gary Stevens for USPSA President".

Petitions have been circulated. I signed it, that's why I know.

Same here. The petition was passed about at Area 5.

What meeting?

That's what I was thinking

Never heard of it. Maybe that's why there were so few people there.

It was on the schedule in the match booklet.

Oops, didn't see that.

Voigt is the right guy for the job and has the right ideas. He needs the authority to drive the org.

I do not know any of the other candidates (nor do I know Mr. Voigt) and am not trying to disparage them in any way, but not many people who are: interested in the job, qualified to do the job, and credentialed to do the job have the industry/sport mojo of Mr. Voigt. The job of El Prez has a lot more to it than people think.

ETA:

I've had the good fortune to chat with Mr. Gary on the phone several times. The job of being an Area Director seems just absolutely daunting to me. I couldn't even imagine trying to preside over that circus and negotiate with IPSC at the same time.

Interesting – I just received my November/December Front Sight and it had the March 2006 Board Meeting minutes. There were two life members terminated. While I do not question the need to do this sometimes and the rules allow it I am curious as to why these two were put out.
