You are correct! My second tungsten grip showed today and I just noticed it didn't have a grip weight in it.
rtr
Got it. I swapped the weight from my stock grip. Is it different in any way than the weight that comes with the TSG grip (with funnel)?
George16
The tungsten grip module weight is 1.7 oz while the original X5 grip weight is 1.75 oz. both are made of steel. Babayaga
Any one know what a silicone carbide grip job will add to the weight of an X5 grip? I just got my TXG module and wanted to silicone carbide it but I don’t want to be over for CO.

Posvar
Thanks for the clarity on the weights. That makes me feel better as I have one from an X5 I’ll drop in the new tungsten module.

Pull it out using a pair of needle nose pliers. It comes off easy. Squirt a little bit of oil on the side and then pull it out.

Posvar
My OG X5 had a very tight fitment on the weight. I had to lightly tap it out from the top to get it started.
George16
I just pulled it straight up and out without any problems from both grips (original X5 and Txg grip). I think the little drop of oil helped by making it a little bit slippery.
ddc
My original X5 weight had a thin rubber "snubber" strip on the back I'm guessing to provide a little friction to help hold it in place. Does the legion weight have that same rubber strip?

Does the legion weight have that same rubber strip? Not sure about the legion but the standalone tungsten grip module has the rubber strip also. In this pic, you can see the rubber strip on both weights. X5 on left, tungsten grip module weight on right.

Carbide adds about a half ounce. More if you build up the grip, I don’t think it would ever add more than 1 ounce though
