Lilmick
Looking through the post couldn't find one that fits what I'm looking for. Hoping to get some ideas on a good holster for an SVI open gun. I currently shoot limited and have a ghost holster however, all open shooters I've seen have the holsters with the bottom that the end of the muzzle sits on. Is this personal preference or something that is needed. Thanks Edited April 9, 2017 by Lilmick
Hi-Power Jack
Just makes holster more customizable (that a word?) ... Every OPEN gun is slightly different length, depending on the comp you attach - so an adjustable holster is perfect. Not necessary, but lots of adjustments can be made to these holsters

ShortBus
I have the alpha X and love it.
js1130146
The muzzle support is personal preference. I use a Safariland 014 which has the muzzle support, but I haven't tried any of the others. It works fine for me, I have no complaints about it.
user293
i use the daa racemaster magnetic but even though i bought the SV steel insert (for my steel grip) it didnt fit right and needed to be modified.
pjb45
Safariland 014. It is adjustable for all my SV guns.

crowmag
I use the same rig for limited and open DAA race master
theWacoKid
I don't like holsters with the muzzle support. I'm a big fan of the Race Master. Sometimes the insert needs a little customizing to your gun but I've found that route works much better than the universal stuff for me.
Mikeski
I run the DAA Race Master for both Limited and Open, without any muzzle support. Never had any issues
scooterj
Nothing wrong with your Ghost. If your SV fits, rock on!

dansedgli
My infinity grip fits good in my race master holster. I prefer the safariland 014 though.

I took it apart and found out where the trigger guard was getting held up and filed down the material until it fit snug. Then assemble and see if it works and draws well. Take a little material at a time you don't want it too loose.
