Once the season gets going, I shoot about a thousand rounds a week, so I clean my slide every Friday. I usually completely disassemble 2 or 3 times a year. anilson Posted March 18, 2016 Share Posted March 18, 2016 I shoot the gun until I think its about to stop running. 2k if you use dirty ammo and 4k-5 if you use good clean ammo (VV powder and jacked bullets) I detail strip when something breaks. I cheat clean the Lower end with Hornady one shot Oil the barrel every time I shoot, and the rails every time if using CLP type oil or every other time if I have a heavy oil like archoil 4400.
