Dirtchevy841
Just bought 2011 from a member. Have 5 Sti 140 mags. Has the Sti pads on them he kept his snl pads which I don't prefer. Are the Dawson the way to go with the Sti mags. Has grams followers and springs.
yoshidaex
Dawson, TTI, Grams, etc, etc are all great basepads. Try them all out and see which ones fit your needs.

Now single stack stuff I am on it. Learning pretty much all over again. Hope I like limited.
EkuJustice
Dawson or taran pads I'm getting 20 reload able with either in 40 and 23 in 9mm. The ones I use are the Dawson.+1and taran 3mm no issue at all with the gauge
Pat Miles
Any basepad that drops down and off the tube is the easiest and best...Grams or Dawson.

Glk21C
Grams are beveled on the bottom inside to help with capacity where as Dawson's are not. IMO Grams are the best.
Dirtchevy841
If I bought the grams base pads are there the +1 also or just the regular base pad
Glk21C
Several sizes, it's best to just to call him (Beven). Gramsengineering.com
Pat Miles
Grams come in several different millimeter extra lengths. Call Bevin. Good stuff!
Aircooled6racer
Hello: The 4mm Grams base pad is like the Dawson SNL ones. Grams 2.5mm is like the standard Dawson +1. I have both but prefer the Dawson's. I have a couple of broken Grams base pads here, never broke a Dawson. I have bent a TTI so I could not remove it. Shooters Connection is were I get mine from. Thanks, Eric
Dirtchevy841
Yeah I am leaning more and more toward Dawson. It looks easier to take apart with that little slide out deal.
echotango
I also prefer the Dawson. They feel better in the palm of your hand during a reload and also are much easier to take off.
slbrugby
I have bought both the Dawson and TTIs to give a try. I ran the TTIs on my M&P last year and they were solid, so I figured I would try both. I think the Dawson's are a little easier to take off for the 2011 mags as many people noted above - but I really didn't find it too difficult to remove the TTIs either. I think I'll give them both a shot and see which I like better - as of now, still deciding.
scooterj
I have both Dawson and MBX (basically the same as TTI). No issues with either.
Bluemooncricket
I have Dawson's and shoot on a sandy range. Fine sand can make it difficult to slide the retainer open for disassembly. I don't have experience with any of the other options.
Foxj66
I have the Dawson SNL pads. If I was buying new ones today I would have just ordered tuned mags from Brazos they are not much more. I went with the SNLs because a local shooter who helped me tune and set my stuff up uses them and his stuff always runs so I copied it. on a couple mags it took a lot of work to make them fit the gauge. not a big deal unless you shoot major matches. TaranTactical
Thanks, Eric Shoot us a call and I'll get you a replacement. You might have an older version with a thinner bottom wall.
Brian N.
I'm fond of the TTI, easy to remove but not bulky. Grams are good to go too, I've used them in the past but had them crack on me (Beven's good with customer service though). Plus with TTI spring kits I get 21 rounds of .40, reloadable. Dirtchevy841
Yeah going with Dawson +1 easy offs. They are easier to take off than the TTI it looks like.
Chips0410
I've tried taren tactical, Grahams and now currently running Dawson's .... Only bad thing I found with the grahms is I've had them crack on me ... I like the ease of taking of the Dawson's the tarens are also good to go
