  1. Would love to see a pic!
  2. So, did you ever get your ultimate CCP blaster?
  3. Any suggestions for a tight fitting adjustable carbine stock that won’t snatch my beard hairs out?? I currently have Magpul MOE and CTR on various builds. I use 1.93 optic height and would prefer a bit better cheek weld. Thanks!!
  4. I snagged a .30 carbine powder funnel from Dillon and actually found a jug of 1680 locally at a decent price. I’m trying to find a suitable overall length and charge to start with. I’m not sure what bullet the Blue Bullets compare most closely to.
  5. I used to toy with the idea of 113mm mags in an STI for a IDPA CCP gun but never did follow through with it. After I got a C2 I fell in love with the grip size and magwell and just decided to run it in ESP. That being said, I believe it is possible to make it work. Worst case scenario is you ruin the original grip and then reward yourself with an expensive but awesome SVI grip. ……or add up the cost of all the parts, finishing, your time/labor and then compare it to a factory SVI build. Another member of this forum did this and ended up ordering from SVI.
  6. I’ve been loading blue bullets in 9mm and 40 for years but have recently decided to give rifle caliber reloading a try. I always thought it would make sense for B.B. to make a subsonic blackout projectile because of their success with pistol bullets and the rise in 300 blackout’s popularity. Well it came to my attention recently that they are now doing a 220gr 30 caliber bullet. This has convinced me that now is the time to jump into reloading for the blackout. Given that I have zero experience loading rifle calibers I have decided to check with the fine folks of the Enos forums for a little guidance. Is anyone here loading with this bullet? My goal is to make a plinking round for a suppressed Sig Rattler and Q Sugar Weasel. Any load data, tips or tricks with this endeavor would be greatly appreciated!! So far I have procured a set of Hornady dies, Winchester #41 primers, Everglades converted brass and some H110 powder. I’m loading on a Dillon 550. Thanks in advance!!!
  7. If I’m not mistaken, the height is problematic. I used to have an X9 that would have required shaving the mag base plates and lowering the rear sight to fit. I would assume the SFT would have the same problem. Length may also be a factor but I have no experience with the SFT to confirm that.
  8. Well, if you think about it, they retain value well on the secondary market and cost more than my first couple of cars put together.
  9. I hear ya! If I were shooting a major match I would probably plan accordingly, but crashing a stage at my local doesn’t really bother me too much. Until it happens, then forget everything I just said while I wait for new parts to arrive….
  10. Not really. I can get my fingertips on it but I definitely wouldn’t consider it to be a sure purchase. That being said, I’ve never found myself in need of stripping a jammed mag from an aluminum grip. I have experienced a jam during mag insertion, but if properly fit, I have never had one not drop free. Jamming a mag on insertion is a whole other animal!!
  11. I ended up modifying the Staccato aluminum base pads instead of ordering the Dawson’s. It took a little bit of filing on the front outer edges to get the mags to seat, but nothing drastic.
  12. Noice!! Be sure to post pics!!
  13. So are you going with an Infinity build?
  14. Just to update: I received the Cheely IDPA magwell yesterday and tried a few different base pads I had on hand. Of course, the stock plastic STI pads work fine. The Taran Tactical/Atlas Gunworks pads (with the push pin in front) work as well. I even found some older Dawson +0 pads that work. The new aluminum Staccato plate won’t work without some filing of the front lip. Only the low profile pads will fit the 6” max height restriction for IDPA though. I think I’ll order some of the Dawson angled pads to try.
  15. Actually I’m curious about the Dawson base pad pictured above. I have the Cheely magwell ordered and already have a few STI plastic “carry” base pads to run until I find aluminum alternatives. I’m basically looking for a pad with durability, easy cleaning, works with the Cheely setup, and fits the IDPA box. I appreciate the replies!
  16. I’m curious if they would work with the Cheely grip and IDPA magwell.
  17. Is that the IDPA/IPSC version? Do you know which base pads work with that and a 126mm Staccato mag? I called Cheely but he could only tell me that the aluminum Staccato base pads wouldn’t work. I would prefer aluminum to plastic.
  18. Given the new IDPA rules, my Atlas Hyperion has become ESP legal. However, I need to swap the magwell for something that will fit the box. Can anyone offer me any suggestions for a magwell/base pad combination that works for IDPA?
  19. I toyed with this idea for a while but never came up with a great solution to the mag base pad problem. My local club is basically like shooting in a sandpit so mag cleaning between stages is pretty important to me. The Infinity grip and mags seems to be the answer, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price of admission. I’ve been shooting my C2 in ESP at a bit of a disadvantage which goes against my nature of wanting the most appropriate tool for the job. When the new rules take effect, I’ll probably setup my Atlas Hyperion for ESP and wait to see if anybody figures out the formula for a practical 2011 CCP.
  20. I found that my splits and reloads were faster with the C2 versus my EDC X9. Having started my 2011 journey with an STI Marauder, and the thousands of rounds I put through it, no doubt had an impact on my handling of the C2 vs. X9. Plus I’ve grown quite fond of flat faced triggers.
  21. I’ve been carrying my C2 in a Milt Sparks Criterion for well over a year and am completely satisfied. This combination has never left me wanting for comfort or capability.
  22. I actually had a conversation with Adam about an IDPA legal 4.6” gun before I purchased my Hyperion. He thought the barrel was going to be the problem because nobody made a bushing barrel that length. I guess they figured it out. As dumb as I am, I might even fork over the funds for a 4.6” bushing top end but I should probably just wait for the Hyperion to get approved instead.
  23. So can anyone one else confirm a barrel rule change for ESP? I tried sending my coordinator an email but received no response.
