ASCs with the TTI +3/4 glock pad seem to hold together well. Haven't noticed any issues using the standard spring.

For those who shot HaH and Western Regional, Western Regional was more like a HaH O'Doul's match. However, 3GN is trying to bring all the regionals closer to the same style of shooting this year. They liked the flavor of last year's Western Regional, but they are trying to keep everything closer to one style of match. I'm looking forward to it this year, I've enjoyed all the regionals so far. Tried that awhile ago, crickets. Tried emailing Charles next, crickets. Had wife PM their Facebook, crickets. Submitted my request to withdraw this morning through their web contact form in the hopes somebody sees it. Tenille is very busy...perhaps try emailing her again? Charles just got out of the hospital after a nasty spider bite. I agree, getting ahold of 3GN can be a bit vexing at times :-)

I'm fond of the 8 round tube rule for all divisions other than Open. Imagine if Production division were limited to 10 round mags before the start signal only. After the buzzer you can throw any mag you want in there? I think not! Matches I run follow the standard tube rules (8+1 to start), because that's what shooters seem to want. I guess that makes me an outspoken minority. I do think the 3GN Pro Series should be limited to 8 rounds only, just because anyone who watches the TV show and doesn't know 3-Gun finds the shotgun tubes ridiculous and impractical (which they are). It's not hard to check, show me 8 of your 2.75" shells, put them in the tube, if the gun will take another one, wilkommen zu öffnen!

I'm fond of the TTI, easy to remove but not bulky. Grams are good to go too, I've used them in the past but had them crack on me (Beven's good with customer service though). Plus with TTI spring kits I get 21 rounds of .40, reloadable.

Actually, I sure did intend to shoot Resurgence in the first place. I thought it'd be fun. I love the idea of a match that's completely different from everything out there right now. I like the scoring. I like the intent of a lot of the rules. I even kind of like the idea of using all buckshot in a match, even though it adds a significant cost to the shooter. I intended to shoot Resurgence even though I thought some of the rules were goofy. I intended to shoot Resurgence even though I didn't like having to pay an extra $100 in shotgun ammo alone. I intended to shoot Resurgence even though I didn't like having to change my guns and gear to comply with rules written before 15 years of GWOT-driven practical equipment R&D. Most of my shooter friends thought I was nuts for wanting to shoot Resurgence, but I thought it'd be worthwhile to try at least once since I'm too young to have ever shot SOF. EDITED AFTER PERSONAL CONVERSATION WITH JIMMY. I had posted some incorrect information regarding the match host and dates, it has been removed. I might still shoot Resurgence after my interaction with him, even though the dates conflict with the Ironman East. We'll see. My interaction with the Match Director has been pleasant, he comes across as professional, helpful and friendly, even though he's firm on some rules. That's how match communication SHOULD be.

Apparently all I have is "Gamer" gear. I suppose I'm in Field Gear, Safariland ALS holster, HSGI Tacos and Belt. A 140mm magazine is exposed about 2.125" on the side and about 1.5" on the front/back. They're integrated into a rifle Taco so they stick out a bit farther than USPSA allows, but it looks like they're close enough for this match (lucky I have big hands...)

"4.5.4. Pistol may not begin stages of fire with an extended magazine in place except where the extension is no larger than a reasonable duty magazine base pad. This will allow most double column pistols to begin with a +2 base pad but no more." Looks like you can't START with a 140mm pad, but after the start signal anything's fair game...as long as it fits in a pouch covering all but 2" of the mag. Next dumb question, if I can cram a 33rd Glock mag into a legal pouch, is that considered A-OK?

Sounds good. I was confused since the rules said barrel and/OR slide porting was a no-go. Is a bungee pull-tab an acceptable fix for an illegal pouch? I have quite a few HSGI tacos but I'm not sure how much mag will stick out of them with a 140mm basepad.

The match sounds like a whole lot of fun! Since I think I was about five years old when the SOF matches stopped, I have a few rules questions: So slide lightening is NOT acceptable, or is the rulebook on the site not currently updated? So are 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC and .300 BLK legal or illegal? I'm not aware of any militaries that currently issue rifles in these calibers. I know quite a few LE officers who use Safariland 773 pouches for duty carry. Under these rules, those aren't acceptable, or are they only acceptable for LEOs with departmental approval? Does this exemption only apply to rifles, or will it apply to shotguns as well? Thanks, I'm going to try pretty hard to make this one :-)

I haven't tried the JP, I've been running a YHM Slant Brake on my Stag. http://stores.9mmar.com/yhm-9mm-slant-muzzle-brake/ With my standard Minor load (147gr Berry's with 3.4 of Bullseye), it doesn't make a difference over the standard flash hider. All the powder's burnt before it hits the brake anyway. With factory Federal 115s, it makes the gun track a lot flatter.

We have a sample size of three in our club, two have worked flawlessly and one's yet to be tested. They're also very easy to seat on a closed bolt, even when loaded with 60 rounds. One is known to work while monopodding, the other hasn't been tested for that. Both drums have only been tested with Wolf Gold 55gr factory ammo. Hopefully tomorrow I can get #3 out to the range for testing with some Hornady Steel Match and some of my own 75gr long reloads. So far, I've been very impressed with the D60. FYI, they won't fit in a Lancer lower with the big magwell, the drum's shape won't allow it to fit.

The targets will be illuminated, however sights might be a little on the dim side. I recommend using a laser, but I'm kind of biased that way :-)

Course of fire for the night match will require (per team) 12 Rifle Rounds 10 Pistol Rounds 8 Birdyshot 4 Slugs Per Person: 6 Rifle 5 Pistol EITHER 8 Birdyshot OR 4 Slugs. There are no divisions, everything is legal except that pistols must be pistols, not pistol-caliber carbines. All firearms will start staged, no holsters or reloads required.

No holster will be required, the start position will be staged, RO will clear and bag it.

Along with this and some video from last year's match, is it a bad idea to use a load vest for this match? I saw a dude squeezing through a door that I know would have problems with my load 2 vest. I wouldn't rely on it exclusively, have a way to load off of your belt that won't break or drop shells when you crawl, climb, jump, run etc.

I have a U-Die, the ammo fits a case gauge and chambers in several other guns. My question is if anyone else has issues with flat points in the Omega chamber or if I just have a weird gun.

Trying a new 147gr Flat Point bullet in different 9mm guns, loaded at a 1.10" COL it will chamber in all types of pistols except my 75B Omega. Ammo fits a case gauge, but when dropped into the barrel sticks out a good .060" beyond the hood. Also a tight fit in a P09 chamber, will fully chamber with a 14# spring but lightly engraves the lands on the ogive. Chambers without drama in an SP-01 Shadow. Is the Omega chamber just different from the other CZs, or did I get a lemon? ETA: Omega feeds just fine with anything Round Nose.
