freedoms
I been reading that you should not mix head stamp and some say it's OK to Mix head stamps. this is for 45 ACP. and 9.mm brass. Any input would be helpful. Thanks
Bkreutz
If i isn't split, it goes in the hopper. This is for 9 minor, 9 major is a totally different story (I only use certain brass which is marked and I keep track of how many times I load them) Edited March 10, 2015 by Bkreutz

Steve RA
I use Win for 9mm, Federal SP for .45ACP and Lake City for .223/5.56. Takes more time, but I'm retired so gives me something to do. Also I think it improves accuracy by being consistent.
mele
Pistol brass is all mixed. Not for compitition. Just blasting /plinking. Compitition Brass is all new Starline. But I dont shoot compitition any more so I guess that's mute. Rifle brass, both 223 and 308, sorted by LC and other.
gng4life
Most of my pistol brass is mixed, I just take the crappy brass out but don't sort by headstamp. However, I do keep some bags of "same headstamp" brass for the bigger matches (Level III/IV).

ano
40 and 45 tends not to be as picky I shoot at least 25-30 differen theadstamp 40.. and 0 issues yet, but I run everything in shockbottle. but all the "doesnt chamber" ammo gets put in practice bin, which.. so far has worked 100% as well 9 is way way more picky

I do mixed as well for 9mm, in autos it matters not at all as far as I can tell, including for matches or whatever. If it case gauges, it shoots. For a major, i will sort out same headstamp, but its phsycological... Edited March 11, 2015 by seanc

PKT1106
I mix my 40 brass. After a couple of extensive tests by measuring everything out as precise as possible and using the same everything, I found the result didn't justify the process. MAC702
For what purpose are you loading? Especially for pistol, unless it is for serious bullseye accuracy in competition, headstamp means very little, with the exception of wierdos pushing envelopes in 9mm Major and silly stuff like that. *wink* I probably have several dozen different headstamps in my .45 ACP collection, and will leave a trail of brass at a match that has everything from now-twice-fired, pristine, freshly (and perhaps wrongly) acquired spoils to still-fighting WW2 surplus brass that has seen a hundred firings (one of the great things about shooting a .45 ACP.)
