wigbill98
Ok guys I'm struggling finding "shooting" type pants that will fit. Something like the 5.11 style pants. I'm currently wearing 36x38 pants and any help would be greatly appreciated because Google is failing me!!
LilBunniFuFu
How tall is tall, at 36x38 You must be slim about 6'5" Have you gone to any outfitter store and tried on different 36x36? I'm 6'3" and I can get away with certain brands.
b1gcountry
I am 6'7". I have had good luck with some of the large/long bdu pants. I don't think 5.11 goes beyond the 36" inseam, but I usually wear some kind of boot, and they are a little long, so they don't ride up as much as other 36" inseam pants. wigbill98
6'8" 240. So anything less then a 38 inseem will be high water city when I move. It's a constant struggle in life. I HATE clothes shopping/shoe shopping with a passion! All of the 5.11 rarely go to a 36. What I may end up doing is get a decent pair of unhemmed sp? Pants and just sew on extra length. Sucks but ya do what ya gotta do
DEP44
I need 36 inseam, Cabela's brand jeans is taller than common brands such as Wrangler or Lee.
BobS761
Well, you can always do like my son, he is 6'6", 230# and wears 32" inseam. But he is 17 so you can figure how he wears his pants....
b1gcountry
Well, if you are willing to consider sewing, the 5.11 pants have a lot of material left in the hem iirc
Craig N
There is a Army/Cop store around here and all their 5.11 type pants are unhemmed. They will hem them for you while you wait. Might be an option if you can find a place like that.
technetium-99m
I'm 6'5" and wear between a 36" and 38" inseam. Life is hard.
troupe
I feel for you guys, I am little at 6'4" and 280 and I have trouble.
Sturdy
Look no further than Khul brand pants. Amazingly comfortable cut. Be aware that regardless how khaki they appear, every single non-blue pant has a noticeable green tint.
caz41
Vertx. Get them in unfinished inseam and have them sewn where you want them. Unfinished I'd guess is 38" or so Edited January 5, 2015 by caz41
ZoomZoom
6' 9" 225 36x38 so I just wear shorts...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jackson923
WTF do you guys eat to get that tall? Check out this website, the pants brand is call Rep Con and the gentleman from Seekins Precision (think his name is Shiloh) told me as he wears these pants. Not sure if they have 36 or 38 inseam but they appear to be industial pants. https://www.repconnw.com
bwikel
I'm 6'5" and I have the same problem. If you go online you can buy the 5.11 pants unhemed and have them fit to whatever length you need.
wigbill98
Im glad that I'm not the only one with these life problems. Kind of ironic but my wife bought a used sewing machine right after I posted this! BAZINGA!!!
GreenDragon64
I'm just a little over 6'2" but I have shorty legs... I wear a 30 and sometimes those are too long. I have a long torso. Edited January 14, 2015 by GreenDragon64
szhttm
Check this online store too as they carry different brands and have pretty good prices:* http://www.lapolicegear.com/pants.html Good Luck And Be Safe!!!
trp
6'6'' and I personally just like cargo pants, Duluth trading has the best ones for me they have tons of sizes
EdwinG
6'6" and 280 lbs checking in here. It's not just pants I have trouble with, it's everything. Ear protection needs to be behind the head to fit. Rudy Projects are too small. My grips on my gun are too small, shoes, hats, etc. Everything is a hassle. Dave Gundry
I'm only 6'4"/195 so it's not that hard for me, but I must question the necessity of tactical pants for competition shooting. If you want durable, just get some Duluth or Carhartt pants. Standard cargo pockets hold more crap than you should carry on a COF anyway.
coordinator
I can empathize with you, I'm 6'4 225-250 lbs depending upon the time of the year. I've found Wrangler Riggs pants work well. Lots of pockets and ripstop material. I've gotten them on sale at Cabella's for about $35.00.
Steve Moneypenny
I'm 6'2" and just under 300 pounds. ( not rolly poly by any means) i wear 40 32 pants. sometimes 34. but the crotch just never gives me enough room to stretch. my jeans are always ripping the crotch out of them, 511's hold back speet on squats, etc. I have not tried the vertex yet, but definitley need something to be able to get down in. and take big steps.... maybe it's time for parachute pants! .... or that kilt i have been dared to wear a few times. larry weeks
Don't know if the lengths go long enough for you deformed monsters, but Crye pants have stretch panels in great places. I'm at the opposite end, 5'1" and have to have Crye shortened and the crotch taken in, but love them. Thank goodness for the ladies at the local fabric store! openclassterror
What, you don't like the Travis Gibson "capri cargo" look? I am 6'3", and pretty much at the limit of readily available lengths. I feel your pain. Even size 14-15 shoes are hard for me to find
