Movies So Bad, They're Fun

Recommended Posts

"Gunslinger's Revenge"

Harvey Keitel as an old gunslinger who has come home after 20 years and wants to settle down, David Bowe as the psychopath (gee, did the word psycopath even exist in the 1890's?) who wants to become famous as the man who kills Keitel. Keitel's son is a pacifist who has married an Indian (Native American) woman and had a son.

The movie is definately "C" grade western, but it's saved by the pacifist's crazy friend Joshua and the Native American News Service.

If you mean the "Ace Hamlin" character, someone who used to shoot with us, Joe Cox, could fill in that part.

 I totally missed this early in the year. Having spent the '97 Nationals in Barry at the Hotel Elkton w/ the esteemed Mr. Cox, I would wholeheartedly agree!! :) I miss Joe...

Van Helsing.

Oh god, what a hootfest! First of all, any moviemaker who puts Kate Beckinsale in spandex pants and a corset gets my vote.

I loved the full-auto crossbow with the drum magazine. And yet, the arrows (when they hit, he was spraying the whole village pretty liberally) they had no effect. Whataminit! He's the James Bond of the Vatican, and they can't figure out how to make crossbow bolts effective?

Any IPSC shooter would know that you'd make special ammo: silver-tipped hollowpoints, filled with garlic and washed in holy water. Or even a special sealed, breakable vial on the arrow holding holy water. That way, no matter what you whacked, it would die.

I loved that the Director couldn't decide if he wanted a horror movie, a James Bond sendup, or a tongue-in-cheek comedy of the genre.

I just watched "Army of Darkness." Oh god. Most bad movies start out as earnest endeavors, and go off the rails somewhere. Here, Sam Raimi apparently wanted to do a sendup (this is the third in a series) and kept things on track.

Anachronisms, homages to other movies and genres, good bad-acting, the only thing missing was nudity. Which not every movie has to have.

"Gimme some sugar, baby!"

Another Bruce Cambell movie thats in the bad movie category, that might actually be real genius: "Bubba Ho-Tep"

Bruces's Elvis: ... "Don't make me use my stuff on you, baby."

Other Army of Darkness Ash classic qoutes:

Ash ... "Good...bad. I'm the guy with the gun."

Ash ... "Come get some!"

Ash ... "Hail to the king, baby."

Ash ... "See this? This is my BOOMSTICK!

One of my all time favorite movies! This is the role that Bruce Cambell was born for.....

"Shawn of the Dead"

I swear I tried to hit the stop button on the remote and even tried to walk away, but I was having fun watching it. Don't watch it because you may enjoy it.

Nemo,

Shaun of The Dead is in the local BX as a rental. I couldn't believe it. I also resisted the impulse to rent it. :) Yes, I've seen it.

The Jerk is the funniest, stupid movie I've ever seen.

Navin "Huh? I am not a bum, I'm a jerk. I once had wealth, power, and the love of a beautiful woman. Now I only have two things. My friends and... uh... my thermos. Huh? My story? O.k. It was never for easy for me. I was born a poor black child. I remember the days sitting on the porch with my family singing and dancing, down in Mississippi".

Running Scared with Paul Walker. I still haven't decided if I liked it or not, but have watched it twice.

"The Saga of the Snub Nosed Revolver"

The guns are "funny".

Eurotrip was hilarious!! I could have done without the green fairy though.

Gotta love that exchange rate!!

I found Navy SEALS for 2.99 at the store so I bought it for my buddy Rob who's a SEAL and sent it to him. About a month later I got a box in the mail opened it and it was the movie in pieces.

Flash Gordon

...

Flash...!!! AA-AAHH!!! :lol::lol::lol:

Definetely not Queen's proudest moment. :D

The only way it is worth watching is if you play the Flash drinking game. Everytime they say Flash you take a drink. We forgot about that silly song and passed out not long after the opening credits!

The other day I found "3000 Miles to Graceland" in the "El Cheapo" bin at one of the movie or game stops. This is one of those movies that entertains me while I'm going "I can't believe I'm enjoying this!"

The casino robbery to The King's "Such a Night"... dancers, beta mags, Elvis impersonators, full auto gun fire, the dancers, mafiosos, casino lights, nickel plated 1911s, helicopters and the dancers.

Kurt Russell lip-singing the same song at the end credits is super cool too!

...It was a night, what a night it was, really was. Such a night"...
