Best slide lock

What is the best extended slide lock to run in a glock. I want to be able to release it with my strong hand thumb.

If shooting USPSA production you need to stick with the OEM factory extended release. Unsure about other options.

You asked about a slide lock but we all think you meant a slide stop because it would be very hard to reach the slide lock with your thumb.

As everyone else said the OEM extended slide stop works very well.

I like the OEM versions, I have an aftermarket Vickers I believe and will switch it out next chance I get to an OEM version to match my other Glocks

Here's a comparison of the three: stock, Glock extended, Vickers.

Looks like the Vickers has a larger flat shelf, but doesn't come as far to the rear as the Glock extended.

I find the Glock 34/35 stock slide release is the best. I've got one on my G19. Huge improvement.

Be aware that some have problems with the extended slide stops. If you tend to shoot with a high grip or thumbs, the slide stop can inadvertently be pushed up causing malfunctions.

I really dislike the extended slide stop

I can reach the regular length one no problem

i run a ghost bullet extended forward and i love it.it al depends of your particular ergos,the ghost is at perfect reach for my thumb.

I use the Glock 17 one.. I don't like the Extended.

I ran a Ghost bullet for a while but had issues with the slide not locking back. The spring was weak so I bought the OEM extended, problem solved.

+1 to the oem extended one. Fit and feel is just right. I use a fairly high grip and it never unexpectedly engaged.

Oem extended works fine. On a g21 with a houge grip sleeve it's almost impossible to reach the factory stop.

I prefer the factory flat (non-extended) version. I have small hands and can easily activate it with my strong-hand thumb. I found that occasionally when shooting IDPA, my high grip would hold down the extended slide stop and the slide would not lock back when empty.
