Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I think the only limitations is that it can't be all plates. One piece of steel has to be a popper.
  2. OEM extended one works great for me.
  3. With the m&p 10 round mags are available from the factory.
  4. Dawson's work the best for the no gap. I'm switching to Metalform mags because the basepad is wider though.
  5. That is sharp. I thought my stock 34 in a red comp-tac holster looked good, but damn.
  6. 10 round 45 mags don't fit in the IDPA box.
  7. I think the no moving while reloading is to reduce the advantage gained by round dumping.
  8. I thought the slide on the CORE was pre milled. The thumb safety can make it more difficult to reach the slide go with your strong hand thumb. You're mileage may vary. I put an extended slide go on my 1911 and never looked back.
  9. There's a younger shooter near me who recently put a set on his gun. I know he doesn't have an unlimited budget. Obsoleting equipment is not good.
  10. The draft rule book is posted on the IDPA site. You must be logged in, I think. Also, here: http://members.idpa.com/Content/Rules/mywujz25.qyt.pdf Edit: Link directly to idpa site.
  11. How do you drop the slide? The thumb safety on an M&P makes it hard for me to reach the slide stop with my strong hand thumb. It seems like you've made the case for it. You could always remove it. Edit: it does seem far back and high compared to the 1911 I run. I was able to get on top of it though.
  12. No reason it wouldn't be. It complies with the rules.
