  1. How does the VQ hammer feel in practice, and does anyone have experience matching it with something like the Mcarbo trigger? I am tempted to just try the TG9 trigger assembly from VQ but at nearly $300 that is a tough pill to swallow for a gun that cost <$600. On this note, are there any other trigger parts available that take the PCC up a notch, or any other really noteworthy upgrades available? I was on the cusp of selling mine for a JP GMR-15 but spending $1700 for a blowback 9mm AR feels wrong to me.
  2. Has anyone tried the new extreme s trigger group yet?
  3. Has anyone got the seekins havak bravo? It seems like a close competitor to the Patriot valley JH rifle
  4. For the money you cannot beat the miculek. I don't know if you can beat it period for a non-adjustable brake. The armalite brake is very customizable
  5. I am not sure if that would help the way my hand sits and it would probably make it so I could no longer depress the lever with my strong hand In production I use it
  6. In the past I would accidentally ride the extended slide release that Glock includes on its "competition models" and switched these to the regular, more flat, slide releases. Now, I have gotten to the point where I have my grip so high that the base of my support hand thumb is against the slide release and is either keeping it from moving or actively keeping it down making it so the slide doesn't lock open on empty about half the time. Does anyone have suggestions on changing grip or other clever solutions to make this not happen? I tried moving my support hand rearward behind the slide release but it made felt recoil worse.
  7. It seems the Ruger PCC is very sensitive to ejector angle. Call Ruger and see if they can help because you're not the only one that has had fte with it and it seems they know this is a common problem with ejectors that get bent out of spec.
  8. I'd get the 92x and my reasons (without having to own a 92x) are: -adjustable fiber sights -brigadier slide -steel frame -trigger upgrades
  9. What is the actual difference I find it a tough pill to swallow to switch Wilson trigger bars to langdons
  10. Does the regular 92x have the trigger changes?
  11. I want one regardless. When I do uspsa matches I do them for fun and to be able to move while shooting which most ranges don't normally allow, not to be the big fish at the local match. I split my time between shooting and other hobbies to the extent that I don't think I'll ever hit M class shooting (though that would be cool) and struggle to stay at a B class level as I practice very casually.
  12. Is there an ETA on the staccato L/staccato P 5"? And will it come in .40 S&W? If the price is $2000 I could be interested...
  13. Wanting to get a new 9mm for fun at the range and possibly some competition use but being competitive in a division isn't as important to me as having fun (I'd be totally okay with limited minor with the staccato). What do you like more and what seems to cause the least headaches? Even with customization it seems the shadow 2 will be hundreds cheaper than the staccato but I don't want that to be the only reason for choosing one over the other.
  14. I'm very happy with my Burris xtr II 1-5x scopes, I got each for about $425 after shipping and tax from Natchez. If you're really never going past 50 yards I'd maybe go red dot or holographic.
  15. If he has a kit but doesn't have those tips I'd consider buying them, they're like $5 a piece and make it ridiculously easy
  16. If you want to try stippling it on your own I highly recommend the Oregon trail defense products, specifically the X tip and wagon wheel tip. I tried the grip tape thing for a long time and I finally got so fed up with the grip tape moving around when my grip progressively got stronger that I tried stippling knowing full well I could destroy the frame. The end result was way better than I could have hoped for as far as functionality, and the looks aren't too bad even though I didn't bother doing true bordering.
  17. For .290 what front sight height works for lollipop/12 o'clock hold at 25 yards?
  18. Does anyone know the fiber optic size for the front sight?
  19. What is the length of the factory 21 round magazine for the p10f?
  20. Why does the torque of the bolts come to mind first?
  21. As the title says, does anyone else experience FTE/double feeds with the Ruger PC carbine? The malfunction is virtually the same every time with the spent round either being vertical and holding the bolt open preventing the live round from feeding or the spent case gets rammed into the front of the election port mangling the brass. It seems this is not an entirely uncommon problem but what confuses me is that it wasn't present, then came on all of a sudden, then seemed to have gotten better after another 50-100 rounds. This is extremely irritating and does not appear magazine related. I have read on some other forums about people claiming it's related to the ejector, others saying it's the extractor, but I'm not sure what to blame or how to definitively fix the problem without shipping the entire thing to Ruger which I don't want to do....
  22. Maybe try something made for sig? The sig mecgar mags have a very similar body. Looks like Springer makes sig basepads as is
