Mike21STI
Do you think it is needed or worth the cost? purpose is for idpa, USPSA
APL-G35
Nope if it can shoot a fist sized group at 25 it's good enough. There is so much else to work on unless your a master class or better.
Hi-Power Jack
awfully nice to have But, not necessary. If you have the money, and you can shoot Very Well, it sure would be nice, though ...
Mike21STI
Thanks, guys, that's what I was thinking. I was thinking about picking one up and wasn't sure if I should bother with that. 3inches at 50yards is pretty damn good if you ask me(probably better than I can shoot anyways. Haha). donnyglock
I have had four Baers. Two with the 1 1/2 guarantee and two without. Never could tell the dif.
dtuns
If your a master bullseye shooter yes its worth it but nor for run and gun. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
steviesterno
Yeah the 3" will shoot no worse than that with good ammo. Mine is tighter from A rest, but for running around my hands aren't that steady. Unless you get it at a steal, probably not worth the coin
oak hill
the 1.5" package guns are very tight right out of the box, yes they will smooth up but it will take burning some ammo to do it. IMO it's overkill for USPSA / IDPA
EEH
I've got one, they are tight.will do what they say.
Vettelover
I shot a LB in IDPA years ago. That degree of accuracy is not needed for this game.
3gungeezer
All firearms lose accuracy with use. I chose to start with the most accurate I could buy and let it degrade from here. You can never have too accurate a gun. Love my LB's
bubbadoc
If you are shooting Bullseye and are good, then yes it is needed. Otherwise it is just nice ( fun to brag about)

Love my LB's +1 I can shoot an accurate gun a lot faster, with better hits than a POS that shoots 3-4" groups

donnyglock
This was before raceguns corrupted me. I had 2 premier II with the gaurantee, a monolith and a TRS. I should have kept the TRS.
bountyhunter
Do you think it is needed or worth the cost? purpose is for idpa, USPSAI think most of the accuracy is in getting the best ammo...
kamikaze1a
Probably wouldn't make a diff for IDPA type shooting but... Another way to look at it; if the pistol is capable of 1 1/2" but you are only capable of 4"... What would the group size be if the best the pistol could do was 3"? mwx40x40
Has anybody actually shot an 1 1/2" group with one of the LB's at 50 yds? Ransom Rest? If so, what was the load?
m.i.c.k.e.y
Needed...No...BUT If the guarantee will feel you at ease that the gun will deliver as promised if you play your part well....then its a $295 option. Me i decided to include it on my build. Takes the gun out of the equation. Now I have no excuses if i missed. Don't want to be haunted with my "what ifs" / second thoughts later for not including such an option.

Don't want to be haunted with my "what ifs" / second thoughts later for not including such an option. For me I would get it even though not required, it completely takes the gun out of the equation and any excuses. It's like modifying an engine and only doing 3/4 of the upgrades you really want and it remains in the back of your mind nagging with the "what if" I do not own any 1911 s in this discussed price range but if available here in NZ I would. polizei1
I would echo if you're shooting bullseye, otherwise not needed unless you just want the bragging rights. Also, order from CJ at 1911 Heaven for the best price.
38superfan
I would order it just because. I would already be Sterling out a bunch of dough so I might as well have it and not need it. Besides that, knowing your gun can do it would always challenge me to try that much harder to get it right. I'm sure it would put a big grin on my face when that occasional moment comes where the planets and stars align and tongue is held in right position, and that rediulous tiny group appears. rhgunguy
I shelled out the extra $295. I still spent less than a Wilson or other similar builders. After two misses, I made a bowling pin dance with the rest of the mag at 100 yards yesterday...with WWB. I'm happy.
davisjarrett
If the Zen of the guarantee helps in the mental prep then perhaps. But if you are comfortable with your basics then it doesn't really matter. To me, the old adage of "look good, feel good, play good" comes to mind. that 1.5" 1911 looks really good to me!
