Sees Sights Lift (7/11)

  1. I’d go the Atlas lefty shielded safety. Far more robust and durable than the SV.
  2. So the shim bothers you more than the extractor sticking out past the rear of the slide? Engineers?? lol
  3. Is this one of those that has ports straight up in the front and then v holes right in front of the optic?
  4. It’s 9 major that has been the biggest problem child for sure. The slide can be machined for the conventional extractor.
  5. That’s not what’s causing this particular extractors issues.
  6. Personally I think it’s both. The metal around the pivot point is thin. Very thin. Have had the first and the revised extractors break. The springs seem to weaken quickly. Way to many issues when the original 1911 style extractor works fine and isn’t as finicky. I also believe if the bf loosens at all that will cause the extractor to be under more stress and break even quicker. All in all I’m not a fan. Not to say they can’t right the ship but…
  7. They suck. I have some infinity slides with the new pivoting extractor and refuse to build on them. Just expensive paperweights I guess. Lol
  8. I can see a ton of detail missed as well. The prep work on the frame alone is a giant miss. Nice gun for sure but left a lot on the table. Not a fan of the beavertail either.
  9. Agreed. That said sometimes it’s really nice just to do a short block or a trigger job…etc. lol
  10. I don’t anymore. Unfortunately full builds are taking 100% of the time. Between being able to build on Atlas and cheely grips and Kovert getting most of what’s built… leaves little to no time left. Right now I get 4 atlas grip kits a month.
  11. Never been a fan of JEM stuff.
