bessy
Hey guys, I have a set of EG's extreme gribs for a stock II (like new), I'd like to swap them out for a set of either Henning, or EG's grips for a match, or stock I. I'd prefer hennings, but anything skinny at this point would be great. Grips I'm swapping for don't need to like new, as I'm just going to cover them with grip tape any way ;-)
kneelingatlas
If you're going to cover them in grip tape why not try these: http://eaacorp.com/gun_accessories/index.php/parts/tanfolio/witness/grips/large-frame-fullsize-plastic-grips.html ? I've got a set of those on my match... They work in a pinch, but they just aren't quite right. I can't quite put my finger on it. I really wish henning would make his large frame grips again those are the bomb.

Spaceball
Is it possible to remove the rear sight blade for the super sights without damaging them? Would like to do some mods to the gap.
Open1215
Idk? I drifted mine out to pop in a slide racker. It didn't do much to the old set. Just took off the finish in a circle. I'm guessing if you put a felt patch over the punch it's should be ok.
hercster
Is it possible to remove the rear sight blade for the super sights without damaging them? Would like to do some mods to the gap. I removed the entire sight a while back to fix another non related issue. I had no problem using a nylon tipped punch coupled with careful use of a brass punch I modified for the purpose. I replaced it in the same way and then re zeroed. However I too would like to remove just the blade so that I can "dog ear" the corners safely as I find that improves my sight picture. I'm going to look at it more carefully as I would do both my Tanfos in the same way.
kneelingatlas
If someone put it together, we can take it apart! I've never tried, but I'll take a look when I get a chance, I think there's a staked pin in the end to keep the screw in.
RevInk
Found a local place that had M3x0.5 in 4mm and 6mm....naturally, the one I had was 5mm. Even though I'd taken it out and looked at the parts at least a dozen times, I was sure the other screw was lost. Today at the store...there it was. jacob0
http://texasguntrader.com/index.php?a=2&b=663078 I ran across a so called "witness hunter pro". Sounds nice if it weren't in camo.
Open1215
It looks like a gold team N 45 w a cut dust cover for 900$ it's a 2000$ gun. Cherokee it and it could be a gun little bowling pin gun!
kneelingatlas
It says compensated, but I don't think there are any ports, just a solid block for a front sight.
Open1215
Hmmmm sorta like a sight tracker? Perhaps some v porting on it? Idk I can't tell much from the pic I did find a lim pro on g un broker like mine w the 3 hole pattern. 38 super w 22lr conversation. Open bid at 600$ if I had the $ I would get it for a back up! I'm sure someone will snatch it up!
kneelingatlas
Now THAT is something to sink your teeth into! The hunter is a standard frame, but that pistol you have is a competition frame just like the Gold Team, ready to go.

phucheneh
I hate this thread. I envy some of you guys SO much. Some of the things I watch you put together are just the epitome of what I would spend my spare time doing if I had the firearms/parts. And, well, a mill + the know-how to really utilize it. Steffes
Here is a progress picture of my limited gun. I think the next step will be an aftermarket sear and hammer to shorten overtravel and reset.
Open1215
I went with the egw kit henning sells. Great set up with the flat trigger! I would recommend it!
