  1. Hello, what mount are you guys using for the Alpha 3 on an open pistol? Thanks, Eric
  2. Hello, take a flashlight and look at the channel liner to see if it has some rough spots in it. Also make sure that the spring cups are not interfering with the striker spring. Put the end of the spring in the middle of one of the cups not at the ends. Check the striker spring to see if it is about the same compression as the G34 one. Check to see if the plunger moves freely up and down. Thanks, Eric
  3. Hello, I think magwells would be a great addition and makes alot more sense to me than inside the crotch holsters and lights. Or upping the weight limit to extreme amounts so certain pistols can play. Thanks, Eric
  4. Hello, what are your thoughts on a magwell for Production and Carry Optics? For production it would still have to fit the box and make weight. For Carry Optics it would just have to make weight. I think this would be a good progression since it would help save the grip funnel on plastic pistols and also a place to add weight to them as well. What are your thoughts? Thanks, Eric
  5. Hello, the racker should be no problem. I have done about 8 of them so far. One thing is get a good tap wrench. Cheap ones just are not very good at holding the taps square and secure. Thanks, Eric
  6. Hello, the Springer plate I have is flat. Could the red dot mounting screws be lifting the plate up? Thanks, Eric
  7. Hello, just an update. Accuracy is getting better so I am guessing that the clearance of the frame rubbing on the slide has helped. It does like plated bullets a little more than the coated ones I have tried. I have been testing recoil spring setups with my reloads. I am trying ISMI and Wolff springs to see what I prefer. Guide rods are Jager hardened steel captured ones (ISMI and Wolff), Jentra tungsten G34 I cut for the G17 and the Glock Store Double Diamond tungsten 34 model I cut back for the 17. I did have to make a bushing for the Double Diamond since it is a smaller diameter rod for the ISMI springs. I am using my 7 yard drill for the testing. For me 7 yards is the furthest I can shoot doubles at hyper speed and still see the hits( I know I need glasses). I am using 115, 124, 125, 135 loads at 130-134PF. So far I am liking the 115 and 135 loads. 13lb ISMI on the Jager captured steel guide rod. 12lb Wolff spring on the cut down Jentra tungsten guide rod. These both gave me at most a 2" spread at the 7 yard distance. Some where only a 1/2" apart. I will be testing some more next week to see what combo I like best. Hope this helps. Thanks, Eric
  8. Hello, like I stated above the Buckmark is a great 22. You can add Tactical Solution barrels and other fun stuff as funds are available. I would go to a match and see what people are shooting around your area and ask them if you could shoot a couple of rounds through there pistols. Most will say sure. That way you can see what will work for you. Thanks, Eric
  9. Hello, You can try some Clean Shot. It is a softer than Tite Group and accurate enough for USPSA. Burns clean and does not smoke as bad as some other powders. I like Tite Group as well for 9mm and 40 S&W. My plated 124grain load is 3.9 grains Clean Shot, WSP primers and a 1.135" OAL for a G17. It gives me 129PF at 70 degrees. Try some of your 135 grain bullets since they will feel softer but still be quick back on target. Thanks, Eric
  10. Hello, I would try a "-" connecter or a Lone Wolf connecter to get your lighter trigger pull. You can also use a lighter plunger spring and striker spring. Thanks, Eric
  11. Hello, also look at the Browning Buckmarks and the king S&W model 41 with a Bully barrel. Thanks, Eric
  12. Hello, one thing that I did not mention is the MOS of the dot I am using. The 2-4 MOA dot size gets turned up to almost full when I am outside. The 6-8MOA dots get turned up and down depending on the stage. Also some dots are brighter than others and clearer also. Thanks, Eric
  13. Hello, the Apex I have on my G34 gen 3 is about the same as a stock trigger. It is a slightly curved one. Thanks, Eric
  14. Hello, if you already have the sleeve or can get bicycle inner tubes you can make a sleeve to fit the grip. You can use a plastic milk jug to make spacers to go under the rubber sleeve till you get the reach you are looking for. Try adding spacers to the strong hand side of the grip also since this will move your hand out and may give you the reach you are looking for. Thanks, Eric
  15. Hello, you can add more to the backstrap to give you a longer reach. The Gen 5 will be easy but the gen 3 will need some work. I have xxl hands and I don't even add a grip module to my Gen 5's. Thanks, Eric
  16. Hello, I am using factory Glock 17 round magazines with Arredondo base pads that I have had for over 14 years. I also use Zev base pads on factory 17 round magazines as well. I like both of these since I can take the magazine apart very easily to clean them. They also don't stress the spring when taking them apart. I use Magpul 21 round magazines. If you are going to use metal magazines you better use a metal magazine catch. The metal catch will be very hard on the factory or Magpul magazines. Dawson make a good base pad as well but I find them a little harder to remove than the Zev or Arredondo ones. The last base pad I am trying right now is a knockoff Zev that I found on Ebay. Seems to be working just fine so far on factory 17 round magazines. Hope this helps. Thanks, Eric
  17. Hello, only thing to watch out for is those little tiny springs. Make sure they are seated correctly. Thanks, Eric
  18. Hello, I bought one of the Glock Store guide rods for a Glock 34 with a 13lb recoil spring. Part #1122-13lb. I didn't like the length of it so I shortened it to fit a Glock 17 slide. I am not sure which part is actually tungsten but the rod part looks like a copper alloy so maybe the flange end is tungsten? It is heavier than an all steel guide rod but not even close to a full tungsten guide rod like the Jentra one I have. Just thought people should know. Thanks, Eric
  19. Hello, I will be testing mine out tomorrow to see how I like it. So far I really like how clear the lens is and the 8MOA dot seems pretty good even on this rainy/cloudy day. Inside I turned it way down and it seems good as well. Test and tune tomorrow. Thanks, Eric
  20. Hello, so if getting the lead is not the problem then what is causing all this long lead times on coated bullets? The coating material not being available which I don't think would be true. People buying way more than they need for the shooting season? Since primers are so hard to get right now I just don't seem to understand way bullets are so difficult to get from some suppliers? Maybe it is a manpower problem getting people to work? I think it is just weird coming from a manufacturing back ground. Thanks, Eric
  21. Hello, I ordered some Blue Bullets Feb 4th and was told the middle of May. So I ordered some Xtremes and they shipped in 10 days. I think it maybe a supply problem with the lead from the mines and the shipping of it from other countries. Also large companies like Federal will get first choice from the lead suppliers and brass companies. I wonder when we will see more imported primers and bullets coming in? Thanks, Eric
  22. Hello, Bobby is your guy and a great guy as well. I met him years ago at nationals. Thanks, Eric
  23. Hello, the length of the area that the spring has to work with on the Gen 5 is only about 0.200" longer than the Gen 1-3. I have not tested the installed tension difference between the Gen 1-3 and Gen 5 when installed in the pistol using a Gen 1-3 spring. Thanks, Eric
  24. Hello, since you have a non MOS version you have lots of options. If you plan on using lots of different bullets weights I would get adjustable sights. If you plan on just using one type of ammo you could get non adjustable. Some to look at are Dawson, Heinie, TTI, Warren(Dawson) and Kensight. These are a good place to start. There maybe more available where you are for Glocks? Thanks, Eric
  25. Hello, I would contact TTI and see what they say. Thanks, Eric
