  1. Hello, I am still waiting on my Blue Bullet order from February 4th which are 125 TC 9mm. Kinda crappy that you ordered after me in March and I have not received even a notice yet. Thanks, Eric
  2. Hello, yes I am using the C-More RTS2 mount from Shooters Connection. Thanks, Eric
  3. Hello, I have seen alot of MBX magazines here and all of them need the springs changed out regularly. One of the guys here who shoots alot was changing them out once a month. He sold the magazines and is using old SVI magazines now and TTI guts. Thanks, Eric
  4. Hello, the Arredondo base pads come off easily with the little tool. Thanks, Eric
  5. Hello, I ordered some 125gr Black Bullets Internationals last week and they showed up today. Still waiting on Blue Bullets since February 4th. I'll test the BBI's this week and see how they work for me. Thanks, Eric
  6. Hello, I installed the Alpha 3 8MOA today. I will sight it in this week and see how it does on my major 9mm pistol. I did have to clearance the Atlas mount so the Alpha 3 would fit. Thanks, Eric
  7. Hello, I guess I will have to get the stronger trigger spring for a faster reset. My splits are slower with the Timney than the trigger I did myself. Thanks, Eric
  8. Hello, here is the Ed Brown on my Limited 5" pistol. I really should get this plated one day. Thanks, Eric
  9. Hello, "jcc7x7" has the answer that may help you. An Ed Brown safety that does not have the cut aways at the top may push your thumb out far enough. Thanks, Eric
  10. Hello, I have two 2011 5' pistols and a 2011 6" pistol. I have shot both 5" guns in a local match for fun and also each of the 5" guns with the 6" gun. 5" are a bull barrel long dust cover like an Edge and the other is a standard dust cover with a bushing barrel. I say get a different pistol to see what you actually like more and to find out what shoot better for you. Thanks, Eric
  11. Hello, the MBX magazine springs don't seem to last very long. I have some Taran Tactical followers and springs in STI/SVI magazines for years that are still going strong. My Gen 1 STI 40 magazines are over 12 years old and only need light tuning of the feed lips when they hit rocks or concrete the wrong way. Thanks, Eric
  12. Hello, I shot one of these that a friend had. We used 185 grain bullets at 140PF. It was super soft shooting and accurate as well. I say go ahead and have some fun with it. Keep all your brass so you can reload and ask around since you can find lots of brass that is usually cheap or even free. Thanks, Eric
  13. Hello, I have a couple of matches with it and some range sessions. It has been great. I like the width of the glass since it is about the same width as the Glock 17 mos gen 5 that it is sitting on. I can point shoot it and the dot is right there. I also like the height of it since the dot does not leave the glass on the Glock. The lens is very clear and the dot is crisp even with my eyes(I have a astigmatism in my left eye and I don't wear presciption glasses). I like the red dot alot and even bought a second one to try on my open pistol. The dot size I got is the 8MOA which works great even on tight head shots at 25 yards. Thanks, Eric
  14. Hello, the Glock Store spring that comes with their guide rod is shorter than the ISMI 13lb recoil spring by about 3/4". So if you are using it in a Gen 5 which takes a longer guide rod you will have less installed pressure. If I was you I would return it and get a Jentra tungsten rod with a Wolff 13lb or 14lb recoil spring. It comes with a 16lb. Yes, the Gen 3 rod will work in the Gen 5 but you will also need the adapter that goes in the slide. The Jager hardened steel guide rods are very good also and they make one for ISMI springs and Gen 5. Hope this helps. Thanks, Eric
  15. Hello, I ordered 125gr TC on Feb 4th and still no sign of them. I was charged for them back then as well. In the mean time I will start looking for some other sources. Thanks, Eric
  16. Hello, some more testing today with the G17. I tried some plated bullets that are 115's and 124's. I also tried different power factors from 125 up to 140PF. The barrel likes them on the hotter side. The sweet spot seems to be around 135PF with the 124's. At 18 yards I could hold a 3" group offhand pretty easily. 115's were a little more spread out at around 4"-5". Remember I am not a bulls eye type shooter. I will test some coated bullets next week and see how that goes. Thanks, Eric
  17. Hello, I did some 3 shot drills today with my modified trigger I did and also the Timney. The Timney does need a faster reset spring at least for me. It felt like I was waiting on the trigger to reset compared to the modified stock trigger. The Timney is a little lighter pull weight than the modified stock trigger which is nice but I would like for it to reset quicker. I'll try a different connecter next. Thanks, Eric
  18. Hello, my Holosun 507C has done about 3000 rounds of open major 9mm, 4000 rounds of PCC and about 3500 rounds of minor 9mm on a Glock 17, 2500 rounds on a Sig P320 X5. Still going strong. I do wish the dot size was a little larger for my eyes. Thanks, Eric
  19. Hello, I have a Holosun 507C first gen that has been used on a PCC, open pistol and now a carry optics pistol. It is still working great after two years of use and even on two different carry optic pistols (Sig P320 X5, Glock 17 MOS gen 5). Hope this helps. Thanks, Eric
  20. Hello, sounds like his replacement parts have not been fitted very well? I have seen Springfields and even Kimbers with well over 50,000 rounds that are still running very well. The small parts where changed for better ones but the barrel/slide and frame were still original. Most custom makers out there are going to use a frame with all of the holes already in place. They will do all the custom stuff on the slide and fit the parts that they like to use. Just because they make custom 1911's doesn't mean that they will be up to the task of USPSA type shooting. I have seen some top name builders pistols that would not run for a whole match and they paid quite alot for them. Thanks, Eric
  21. Hello, if you are going to use it for USPSA I would consider an off the shelf pistol like a Springfield, old STI, Dan Wesson or even Smith and Wesson. Save the extra cash to make the pistol your own and buy reloading supplies. In most causes the stock factory guns will work great for USPSA matches. Maybe a rebarrel, sights and change out the safeties. Don't forget the magwell, 6 magazine pouches, holster, belt and 10 or more magazines. In some cases you can buy two 1911's for the price of one custom 1911. Just something to think about. Thanks, Eric
  22. Hello, check my reply above about the cups and spring location. Thanks, Eric
  23. Hello, holding the barrel in a fixture does not test the true accuracy of the pistol. I am not the only one having this problem with Gen 5 Glock 17's. The Glock 34 and G45(9mm) have been great right out of the box. Another thing is that not all of the G17's are doing this just some of them. My second G17 gen 5 was good right from the start but the slide was not rubbing the frame on the side. It rubs the frame right in the center. I will keep shooting the stock barrels for another 2000-5000 rounds and see what happens. Thanks, Eric
  24. Hello, do you have the barrel fitted and the guide rod installed in it? That 3/16 may not be an issue when everything is together. Thanks, Eric
  25. Hello, my thought on this is that some companies already sell their pistols with a magwell installed. Why not allow it for the rest of the companies. A flashlight on the frame to me is just super gaming it. Wait till we see the tungsten flashlight with the mercury insert. Having seen some Glocks that were dry fired alot the bottom of the magwell looks like a dog chewed on it. A magwell would stop most of that. Lastly who has a carry pistol that weights 50ozs with an empty magazine? Thanks, Eric
