And the press on head knobs are the best idea. if you want to take it to an even more convenient level ,slot the track in the-[bottom of the primer cam]- and the -[slot the bolt goes through]- in the black plastic peace it bolts to, so all you have to do is loosen the thumb screw ,slide the primer cam back to the end of its travel and it will stop dropping case out of the case feed tube.

  7. My trigger started sticking on my rock island frame last week also, the solution ended up being the stop set screw in the trigger getting jammed in the slot of the mag release.

  9. start with the basics - do you have primers in the primer disk? you do know you have to 'push' the handle forward to seat primers? do you have the correct primer punch installed -large or small?

  15. The oldest grandson was able to get here to Ohio for Christmas with us , a few weeks ago he was in the Persian gulf then Qatar then San Diego. Tomorrow back to San Diego .
  16. Yes they are the real thing . it's a brick and mortar business in Burton OH. they started at the Burton fair grounds ,with all of the guns out on tables each month. I have been to the auctions ,before they started selling them with --on line auctions-- all of the guns are sold on concession from people sending them in.

  18. The ram has a rack gear underneath to move the ram in and out by rotating the pinion gear. Move the ram out as far as the pinion will take it ,remove the set screw in the turret casting holding in the pinion gear. Remove the pinion gear by pulling it straight out. Block up the ram off of the table with some kind of timbering, take off some of the weight of the ram by cranking the table up and until the ram will slide out. Then you will have the ram out of the dove tail ways, it is heavy. You are taking the head off first right?

  21. You need to remove any movement with the case feeder as the press is cycled . Make the bench more sturdy or heavier or attach the casefeeder to a wall with some kind of bracing .
