Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I recently bought a used 650. I am having issues with the index arm spring going bad. I have replaced the spring 4 times in 3000 rounds. They always get bent in some way and then lose tension. I have taken the assembly apart many times to be sure everything is in place and the issue is still happening. So the questions is....How long are these springs supposed to last? At $2.95 plus shipping that is a pricey wear item. Anyone else have the same issues? I can order springs from another source in high volume but I would rather find the root problem.
  2. I use Mission Power Grip. Seems to be the same as Pro Grip. I can sometimes find it at Dick's Sporting Goods. I first found it a Lowe's of all plalces.
  3. Anyone having issues with the practiscore website? I am trying to get some things uploaded and also get mobile apps downloaded and all are having issues. Anyone heard anything?
  4. The stages for this years match have been approved. 2014 WPA Section match stages.pdf
  5. Do you have an interest in “Action Shooting”? Maybe you’ve heard of IPSC or USPSA shooting and want to know more? Well Gem City Gun Club is holding a new competitor orientation on Saturday February 15th 2014. The orientation is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about this style of shooting. The items covered include: USPSA rules Equipment Gun Handling Safety Issues After some time in the classroom we will head into our indoor range to shoot 2 courses of fire – around 30-40 rounds. This is a great time to get started! There will be experience range officers and shooters there to answer questions and help you get started. Even if you don’t want to shoot yet and just want to see what it is all about come on out. The class is on no matter what the weather is. Here is a list of things you should plan on bringing: Hearing and eye protection. Ear plugs or muffs are fine Handgun – any center fire gun 9mm or greater. No .22’s, single shots or single action revolvers. Ammunition – a box of 50 will be fine for the day. Magazines – or moonclips/speed loaders for the revolvers. You should bring enough to shoot 20-30 rounds at one time. Holster – Any holster that attaches to your belt will work fine. The holster MUST cover the trigger guard. No thigh, shoulder or cross-draw holsters please. Magazine pouches – if you don’t have these, your pants pockets will work for now. 8. Good on Ya BBI for stepping up and offering to help. It is nice to see that there are some companies out there that still work on customer service and will go the extra mile to make things right.
  9. My only load for this is for Montana Gold bullets but here it is anyway. 180 gr MG 5.0 gr Bullseye 1.160 OAL. Winchester small pistol primer 173 PF from a 5" Kimber
  10. I am thinking of finally making a jump into limited. I would like to get a used limited gun but can't seem to find a source for used guns. I would even entertain a build project. What are my options other than getting something brand spanking new?
  11. I'm waiting for a response for the same reason as you Steve. The bays are fairly close together with the exception of a few that are down the hill. Bringing the cart is a good idea. I wish I had one of the nice 3 wheel ones.
  12. Yes. His 3" barrel allowed him to shoot in Single Stack.
  13. To put another twist on the topic, what about MD's? If your time put into a match weekend has value, what is that time worth?
  14. Do you mean you can't see it in the rain?? LOL. FYI - on Sunday after the last prop was put away and I was ready to lock the doors, the sun came out, it was sunny, 73° and beautiful white clouds. I don't get it.
