  1. Check out a match if you haven't done so already. Tons of knowledge gained by watching a match and talking with shooters. They will tell you what you need or don't need. It's all a learning curve. The equipment I started out with is not what I have now. One key thing for me has been a ballistic calculator. I put an app on my i-pod. Bullet-flight. Apps like this are a must. But see what the other guys use, good and not so good. Take that Kimber out and blast away. Shoot, shoot and shoot some more! Take care.
  2. Go Nightforce... You'll never look back.
  3. More inclined to shoot precision rifle. Never heard of Atlas bi-pods. I'll take a look. Thanks all! Jim Atlas from Triad Tactical and others. Pretty pricey, but the absolute best! And nothing wrong with Harris bi-pods at half the cost. Sinclair has a new bi-pod that just came out...don't know anything about that one yet...
  4. Do you use that gun for 3-gun or precision rifle? May want to look at Atlas if for precision rifle.
  5. Now that is one nicely dressed baseball team. Strange uniforms though... GO RANGERS !!
  6. Snipers Hide deals with this exact question in detail. CDI does a great inlet and maybe even your local 'smith' should be able to take care of it. Good luck with the new banger!
  7. SIDE NOTE-- I read all the posts here and was leaning towards a Burris XTR anyway so I placed an order for one through LaRue. Mine arrived within 2 days. LaRue is nothing short of amazing. Anyway, I went to the range yesterday and started to sight in that bad boy. It took 8-9 rds and I'm set. A big dust with rain came up and I left the area without replacing my turret caps. I know, DUH! Didn't realize it till I got home. Immediatley I emailed Burris explaing my dumbass move and within 2 hours I received a message from a Customer Service guy named Josh, that 2 new replacements were in the mail and on the way. WOW! A great product and great customer service. PS Before I left the range, I just had to see how good the scope was. It was overcast, dust blowing, and raining. I connected with steel easily at 100m, 150m, 200m, 300m and 400m. I turned the bright dot on and it was amazing at how easy it was to identify those long shots. I like this scope a lot! My $.02.
  8. BUY IT! It is my favorite mag coupler, hands down.
