I lived in Lansing as a kid for a while with my non-english speaking grandma. My only friend and I got caught shoplifting and I did walk to school in the dead of winter..........Not, no change that to no good memories from there...
  4. Bart, keep us posted. It takes thousands of hours to build one of these. You Dad should be proud, a lot of kit planes never get finished.
  5. That's cool. Wait til "solo" day, it'll be a day you never forget.
  6. Don't know how often it happens but Singlestack and I shot this one today in the exact same time (3.37) with the exact same points down (5) in back to back runs.
  7. At least one stage at every out door match I attend up here has 50 yard targets. At the indoor matches we shoot at least 1 stage at 20 yards. Shooting inside 12 yards all the time is boring. Pat I wish we would use more long range stuff, but that's only because I shoot open.
  8. I ordered a new plate last week for my new car. I'll post pics when I get it. My wife said no one will "get it". I told her the people I care about will. Cool plate Rocket.
  9. How often do we shoot at 50 yards? Most of my shooting is at 12 yards or less. I sight in much closer and just hold at the bottom of the A zone at 50. Seems easier than holding a inch high all the rest of the time.
  10. I've had my 1050 for about 3 years and this is the first I've heard of this. How many rounds are you loading?
  11. 100k to build a decent chunker to use once a year ?? That ain't so bad
  12. I'm too full of turkey to protest.............
  13. I agree with DW, the wadcutters are not the best feeding bullets for reliability. I started with and will always run 230 rn bullets. As far as recipes, try a search and there should be a zillion of them on this site, Welcome and enjoy shooting the single stack.
  14. Welcome to the place Where is Atoka??
  15. I'm thankful for a wife that doesn't go ballistic when I do stuff like show up with a new car. I'm thankful for my family and my great freinds. Seeing so many people with health issues I'm very thankful for good health at my age. I'm thankful for the nice life that has been bestowed on me. Happy Thanksgiving everyone
  16. There's always rehab, Paul.....
  17. Should I be concerned that I resemble so many of these remarks???
  18. Having just switched mounts, I've not noticed any problems during dryfire. Today will be the first competition test with the sidways mount so I'll know a lot more this afternoon about how it feels under the clock.
  19. Sorry for being late Z and Merlin. It appears Paul's post will require attention from the very top. My sympathies to Paul and his family.
  20. Welcome back I haven't shot in 3 weeks and it feels like years..........
  21. Getting my gun back from Dan Bedell tomorrow sporting a new Cheely mount. I've had mixed emotions about changing but after a review of my years shooting, I recall several occasions where a lower mount would have made a scoring difference. I've still got my original mount so I can change back if needed. I'm going to give it enough time to get comfortable with.
  22. Happy Birthday Lanzo  If anyone needs to know what to get him, I recommend new shoes......... And of course everyone else Mapzter (37), Tom E (59), danscrapbags (45), momoshooter, NJGlockGirl (99), WizardOI (25), Lanzo (27), narwhal (28), The Tactical Pirate (54)
