  1. There were Swiss Cake Rolls calling my name, waiting for me in the car....
  2. Thanks to all the great match staff and to CPWSA for sponsoring the match ! I was lucky to be on a great squad that made the shooting extremely fun !!
  3. Shot this one last Sunday. 3.28 down 6. On the turn I came up left of the steel slowing my first shot to a 1.77, so I know there's 4-5 tenths to be saved.
  4. But...But....it's Vegas!?!? Mike, can't help you with the sex part (doubt anyone could:surprise: ) but we can cover the drinkin' part:cheers:
  5. Anyone have the link for printing ORMD labels?
  6. Welcome aboard Do you plan on shooting USPSA matches? If so South River this Sunday is a great way to start.
  7. Lots of results available by searching. Pertaining specifically to Vegas, be prepared for the dust. I used the cheap shower caps last year and they worked fine. I firmly believe treating the Nationals like any other match is the way to go. Drink plenty of fluids even though you won't actually be sweating. Bring any spare parts or gun if you can. Most of all relax and have fun.
  8. At the 09 Mississippi Classic I was shooting with a great squad of very experienced shooters. During our last stage I think there were three reshoots due to premature pasting, one of which was done by the most knowledgeable rules person I know. The RO finally gathered us around and had a come to Jesus meeting. I felt like I was at a new shooters briefing. It was funny afterwards, not so at the time. Just proves we all make mistakes. Stuff happens.
  9. That's one reason I never seat and crimp in one step. Redding seating die is the way to go.
  10. Shower caps are ideal but give your gun a few minutes to cool before you slap it on. Two days usage are about the max for them.
  11. Sponsored by Team Swiss Cake Rolls. No monetary support but the moral support is priceless.
  12. You will notice a squib or light charge when it happens. I was shooting some ammo reloaded by someone else(just for the brass) and every once in a while there was a light charge(never a squib) and my finger immediately jumped off the trigger. I was surprised at how fast I stopped and checked the barrel. Squibs are the reason I always visually verify powder level prior to setting a bullet when reloading.
  13. Just 6 weeks to go. So far other than an email, I haven't recieved my packet and haven't seen any news on shipping ammo or stages? Is it just me or does everything seem behind schedule?
  14. So when getting ready to leave the motel for the range do you wear a plain shirt without any gun info on it? How about when you get back to the motel. I know that I don't.. Especially when working large matchs that want the RO's to wear a match shirt. Good point, I just hope they're not around when I come and go.
  15. A Dillon 550 is a tough machine that will last forever and is plenty versatile. See Brian's FAQ's regarding this subject.
  16. I'm not a big fan of displaying my gun love on my vehicle. Call me paranoid but I shoot a lot of matches out of town and don't want my vehicle to be a target.
  17. 5 here, like others, revolver will likely never happen.
  18. Wow, I've never run into that before but you're correct, 4 mikeys since they were not activated.
  19. If a target is designed to move when activated and it does not do so than it's a REF. REF in both your scenarios as far as I'm concerned. I agree. Using that logic, you can not shoot the target before it moves. However, the way the rules are written now, I do not think I can penalize someone for engaging it once they have pulled on the activating mechanism. At least and do so pointing to a rule to go with it. JT I didn't say anything about when you could shoot the target, I only stated that the target/prop did not function. Therefore REF. I don't care when you shoot them as long as you have begun the activation process and the mechanism operates afterwards.
  20. If a target is designed to move when activated and it does not do so than it's a REF. REF in both your scenarios as far as I'm concerned.
