  1. And who is going to determine that fraction of an inch? I'm not interested in adding "subjective" decisions to the RO's responsibility. Our sport is relatively free of them and I personally like it that way.
  2. Happy Birthday everyone
  3. Thanks to Ronnie, Alan, Jerry, Mark, Joey, and all the great people that put this match on. Very interesting stages that were enjoyable to shoot. Cool new props that functioned well for our squad. I'm certain we''l see some of those again. Thanks to the sponsors who provided some neat prizes too.
  4. I think the magic number is 3K. What tag should mister Probation have under his avatar? Sometimes, that magic number can change, ask me how I know...........
  5. Guess I'm lucky I was up early and watched it this morning
  6. Yes. 10AM Eastern. They're in Alabama, but the match runs on GA time. As it should....
  7. 45 long colts and their appropriate loads.

    Turn and draw

I used to swing the strong side leg around at the draw but it was hurting my left knee. My setup now has me putting weight on the right heel and on the ball of my left foot. I am a righty and turn into the gun. My turn has me pivoting on the right heel and swinging my left leg around. It does use up some space in the box but at least now I'm not hurting my left knee. I don't know if it's the fastest way but it seems consistent enough for me. First shots are close to a second and El Prez's are mid 4's in practice on a good day.
  9. I remove material from both the feed lips and the basepad but my big stcks fit the gauge. You cannot remove more than a few thousandth's from the basepad. Ask me how I know??
  10. I assumed it was V-6 in which case the timing belt / water pump replacement is very expensive but in 2003 Kudos to Honda for getting rid of the timing belt in the 4 cyl version Accord. Up until 02 the 4 cyl Accords had timing belt, balance shaft belt and cam, crank seals that were scheduled maintenence.
  11. Happy Birthday big dawgs:cheers:
  12. Gotta love a good ole SS with character. I'm sure your app will be approved.
  13. Sweet and tasty:cheers:
  14. Happy Birthday everyone. And especially Gary, you done a great deal for our sport:cheers:
  15. Sorry I'm late, Happy Birthday
  16. Merlin, are you post-bumpin' again ?? Shame, shame....
  17. They take the doors off ??? I thought they just fell off...
  18. Happy Birthday everybody!!
  19. On first stages, I generally focus more on decent hits and taking smart shots. The speed? Well it is what it is. I try not to have preconcieved time for any stage, including the first of the day.
  20. I use the "reload if necessary and holster a safe, hot weapon" command. I don't feel like that's coaching at all, since I use it with every shooter. I also have no issues when a shooter asks me the procedure with a particular string, I'll gladly go over it with him/her. This is a USPSA event , not a police qualifier anyway. As far as sight pictures, I do like to take one myself, just to stay in the same routine every time. I don't like it, but with multi-strings, this sight picture is generally with a loaded gun.
  21. Looks like a good deal, there's over a grand in extra goodies with it. That makes the gun a 1000 or less in reality.
