  1. 2.2.3.3 Unless otherwise specified in the written stage briefing, all such barriers, walls, vision barriers and snow fence barriers will be considered to go from the ground to the height as constructed. Does soft cover equal vision barrier? If I can see through it is at a barrier? If so can I shoot under it? Just a thought, figured someone could possibly have an opinion............
  2. One keg?? Is Drawand Duck signed up? If so I foresee a problem already........
  3. Due to changes in plans, I was in a crappy mood before shooting this match and the results prove it. I did however shoot with one of the very best squads (Squad 7) I have ever shot with. Reaffirmed some friendships and made some new ones. Every single stage it was difficult to find a target to paste or a steel to paint. That continued for two days all the way to the last stage. I also was asked to serve on an arbitration committee. With the wealth of rules info I have garnered from Mark Ramsey and all of you, I figured bing-bam-boom, five minutes and this would be over. Two hours later we came up with a decision, whether we liked it or not. If you've never been on an arb committee, rest assured it's not all black and white. I recommend everyone asked to do it at least once. Lastly thanks to Atlanta Arms and ammo for my generous door prize and all the staff that worked so hard to make it happen.
  4. I just use the pointy end of mag brush to push the pin. I can take them apart at least as fast as I could with Dawson's. And I agree with Chris, I like the feel of the Bolens during reloads.
  5. I always use the U die for my 9 major loads if for no other reason to help prevent bullet setback. There's already plenty of pressure with 9 major without risking more. Always, always chamber check afterwards though. 9 is a different animal than 40. You will have more case guage failures with 9.
  6. Arriving Friday midday, Shoot Sat/Sun morning. Leisurely drive back Monday
  7. A lot of facilities pay their oil change people virtually nothing. They get what they pay for and have a ton of turnover. I have 4 guys that do basic service and together they have several decades of experience, oh and they get paid well. Helicoil? It would be extremely difficult to install a helicoil, not to mention require much more skill than doing an oil change. Some vehicles have a steel insert in the aluminum pan from the factory. You sure that's not the case?
  8. Personally I've only inflicted a minor flesh wound, but I've witnessed two murders.
  9. How did we determine he did not engage the last plate? Did he fire at least 8 rounds at the 8 steels? That would be a tough call for me to determine as an RO, did he engage or just miss.
  10. If you're looking for good fuel economy stay away from Hemi powered Challengers.....Haven't broken 20 mpg yet, even on the expressway.
  11. Non-Chlorinated brake parts cleaner. Basically the same as Gun Scrubber. $2 a can at Wal-Mart. Best to keep it away from plastics (fiber optics) and paint. Apply oil to anything that might rust after using brake cleaner. I can get all the brake cleaner I want but I've switched to simple green as a safer alternative.
  12. Congrats I saw that darn cord wrapped around my daughter when she was born. Scary.
  13. A clean mag is a happy mag
  14. Never had to reshoot a classifier, but I've reshot plenty of stages. Usually it's a high round count stage which is why I take so much ammo to a match.
  15. It's not hard to do, but to do one right and do some polishing/witness holes takes time. Not a process to rush through. After you've done a bunch (like some for all of Team swiss cake rolls) you'll learn to get faster and a few reliability tricks. I think the amount of real time it takes is why it's hard to find someone to do them anymore.
  16. After watching the video, I'm thinking the "cool" way of loading the gun was slower than retrieving the gun/mag and loading on the way to the first shooting position.
  17. Not be negative, but I'd neither sell or buy reloaded ammo from anyone, period.
  18. Since I'm in the automotive business with access to all weights of Mobil One I change weights according to weather. Lighter in the winter, heavier in the summer.
  19. It doesn't get any classier than Dave.
  20. I use the same scales I've had for 25 plus years. I don't care if they're accurate or not, just consistent. I also run all ammo over a chrono for verification.
  21. RO was probably out of position and didn't see it.............
  22. :roflol: . I know better than to ask that one.
