  1. Has everyone seen this thing yet?! https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2019/05/21/p320-xfive-legion/ Looks like Sig's answer to the Q5 Match Steel Frame. I'd love to swap out my X5 for this over shelling cash for the tungsten frame from SSI. I'm just wary that because it's legion, the tungsten module won't be available separately. It also is set up for a Delta Point Pro/Romeo 1. One odd thing is it comes with 17rd mags and not 21s like the current X5.
  2. It's great for local matches but the second you want to travel to another state for it, it becomes a pain in the butt.
  3. I've been running Umbrella Corp Unicorn Lube. It holds up and spreads well, haven't had any problems.
  4. The value is killer especially with their discounts. How can you say no to a 725rd count for less than $45? Hell you can get like 6000 bullets for $300 which is double basically anyone else for the same Since they're coated lead, they're a tad smokey but otherwise run well and also since they're coated you don't need as much powder. They were surprisingly accurate in my PCC at the 3.0 and 2.8 loads I did. I need to get them on paper with my X5 although I've shot them in a match at the 3.2 before I chrono'd anything and they ran well still. I have to order even more now that you mention this sale
  5. The 16" JP definitely has more rounds through it. I want to say it's over 1500rds by now, the 14.5" Warsport maybe under 600 rds because I haven't run it in a match yet since it's just a backup. I may be losing velocity due to OAL from barrel to the next. My ejected casings are usually pretty dirty, to be expected with blowback but this is a bit more. My dad mentioned that to me at the range yesterday and I had just never thought of it.
  6. Hi all, Yesterday I made a trip to the range with a bunch of loads that I made to find the power factor of each one for two of my PCC uppers and my P320 X5 and thought I'd share my results. The biggest mistake I made was not bringing enough targets to get a great feel of accuracy for each load and I eventually ran out of pasters to reused the 6 targets I had (way to plan ahead dummy) I use: -Mixed Casings -Fiocchi small pistol primers -Hodgdon Titegroup -X-treme 147gr RN -Blue Bullets 147gr RN -Brazos Precision 145g RN I can tell you that the X-treme 147gr RN w/3.2gr TG in either PCC upper and my X5 is a tack driver - especially my 16" upper, I'm talking a quarter sized group with 5 rounds at 25 yards. I also noticed the Brazos Precision 145gr RN (I said 147gr and most of what I weighed are closer to 147gr than 145gr as listed on the website) were super accurate as well. I can always update the post with target photos if I decide to do this all over for an accuracy standpoint as well; which honestly I'd like to do anyways. I do wish I also did a 3.1 and 2.9 grain load to have more data in the spreadsheet but you'll see some of these don't change a whole lot with the 0.2 grain difference. OAL does vary - I left my press set up for my original load, the X-treme 147, which was 1.155 OAL (again, got it off here) - so when I put the Blue Bullets or Brazo Precision in, I get an OAL of about 1.137" which is very close to what most coated bullet shooters have posted on here; my laziness paid off My purpose of this was to find what ammo ran best in my match guns closest to minimum power factor while remaining reliable and performing well and I'm hoping that people with load questions will find some answers in the data I accumulated. Sorry if the spreadsheet is a bit blurry, I attached it just in case. 147gr Reload Power Factor - Sheet1(1).pdf
  7. I've been running 3.2g of titegroup with X-treme 147gr RN and they make about 127 power factor consistently. I actually went to the range yesterday and fiddled with some loads, all 147 grain bullets but from X-treme, Blue Bullets, and the new Brazos Precision ones. I loaded up a handful of each head using 3.2, 3.0, and 2.8 gr of Titegroup as I was also testing them in my PCC. The Blue bullets at 3.0 shot very well at 129 PF and the Brazos at 3.0 were 128 PF. Both felt pretty soft and were accurate.
  8. Best thing to do for springs is to get a calibration kit from Wolff and try each one to tune the gun to your load. I bought the Reduced Power Kit that does 11 to 15 lbs from them and now that I'm adjusting my load from 3.2 tg to 3.0 tg w/147 extremes and installed a tungsten guide rod, I'll be tuning it all over again with that kit.
  9. No idea what the round count is now, but I've had zero problems with mine using either FM BCG or JP BCG (two uppers, same lower)
  10. Not really relevant to this post BUT yes a short barrel will be good for competition in terms of maneuverability on tighter stages. Accuracy will be fine too; once you tune your load and buffer system to your liking with that short barrel, it'll be great
  11. I have a CompTac International paired to a CR Speed X-Bax hanger for my X5 and they've been great.

    Which red dot?

+1 to this. The DPP is a great red dot with a large window and very clear glass. Awesome optic for CO and even Open.
  13. I've been running 147gr Xtreme RN with 3.2gr Titegroup and it's been very accurate in my X5, G34, and even my PCC. I have also tried Blue Bullets with the same exact data and they seem to run well, although groups on paper with the X5 seem to be a little less tight than the Xtreme but I could just have had an off day. I've tried the new Brazos 145gr, again same setup (too lazy to adjust press and luckily the OAL is damn close), and had good hits at a practice match last night I think I'm at about 1.135 or so OAL, I'm not sure on the PF since I haven't chrono'd but I got the load data from somewhere here on the forum since it's a popular setup and works great.
  14. Yeah the glock ones are full plastic. Just don't drop them
  15. Which recoil spring are you running with it and what PF ammo?
  16. I understand being invested in STI magazines already and wanting a rifle that uses them, but I don't see the harm in a Glock magazine lower PCC besides needing to spend a bit more on extra mags you don't already own. As another mentioned; Glock magazines are very cheap compared to STI/any 2011 magazine and in the PCC world, the Glock has better capacity capabilities over the STI with the wide array of base pad extensions available. Just get a few 33rd sticks with some MBX mini/mega or Taylor Freelance Goliath's and hit the range for like $200 less than an STI 170mm mag. You say you don't own a Glock or want to, buying that magazine for a PCC doesn't meant you're obligated to buy a Glock
  17. wow $193 for a 15" PCC carbon rail that weights barely 6 oz with barrel nut? I love my Iron City Berserker but damn that's tempting...
  18. I’ll always recommend CMC because they have been flawless and feel great (I own 5 now I think). A lot of companies are making PCC specific triggers now so I do run theirs in my AR9. A lot of people use the Geisselle SD3G (model might be off) and have no problems and I’ve heard decent things about the Timney AR9 trigger as well.
  19. True, would be silly to compete with yourself in that aspect
  20. Luckily Springer was great about helping and provided measurements and all. I checked both plates with a caliper and still had no luck. It was either grind/sand hardware down and risk cross threading the bolts once the heads fit into the recess of the slide or say F it and buy a Romeo 1. You can definitely try a Springer adapter plate, they're $35 which isn't awful and they'll take it back if any issues should arise but I just like to let people know it may not be a quick and easy install as you'd hope. Glock got it right with the MOS system and the OEM plates they provide/sell extra...I hope Sig catches up and does this given the amount of people that prefer other red dots...just also wish H&K would understand this because that new long slide kit looks sweet but not being optics ready is a bummer.
  21. Wondering who here has managed to order the flat X5-style trigger Gray Guns sells for the P365 and what changes it made and whether or not it's worth it. I keep signing up for the list to order one when they come back in stock but I've now missed it twice by about 10 minutes because just sell out so damn fast! Is the trigger a good modification or would I be better off doing a polish job?
  22. I had zero luck with those plates when I tried to put a DPP on my X5; the plate holes didn't line up with the slide and the hardware didn't fit either. I even had it swapped out and still nothing. Went to a Romeo 1 instead and kept the DPP on my 34MOS
  23. I'm assuming you have this type of follower and this is why JP is saying this: Have you thought about swapping them out for the regular style follower or will it affect capacity and NJs dumb laws?
  24. Do you mean the Romeo 1 is 8 oz with the shield? Your first weight mentioned says the R1 weighs 8 oz and I was like ummmm way to high of a number; but I saw you said 1.5 oz later. I looked up the romeo 1 shroud but no weights are listed. Anything near a half pound sounds way too high. I have plenty of rounds through my X5 and my romeo 1 without the shield has been strong, the lens is just a shell deflector
  25. If you find the shot show video from 2018, Elftmann talk about how the AR9 trigger is different.
