  1. I have a 16" JP stainless barrel that I run 147gr reloads through and can put 10 rounds through a whole about the size of a quarter/half dollar or so at 25 yards. I also has a 14.5" from War Sport that I got when ZRO Delta was clearing out the War Sport warehouse through Peace Geek and it's just as accurate. The barrels both have fairly low weight and have been very good.
  2. This response may be useless but unfortunately I haven't tested just the 5015 with the .308 spring since Blitzkrieg recommends the set up in specific manners, although if I get some range time in this coming Saturday I can pop the 2.6oz weight out and see how the 5015HD feels.
  3. I would go with the Romeo since it’s a direct fit. I tried the delta point pro plate and it wouldn’t line up even after trading it with the manufacturer a few times. I have heard other people having issues with adapter plates on the X5 as well. It’s unfortunate if you prefer a different type of optic but the Romeo is a good red dot.
  4. The 5015 HD with the 2.6oz spacer short strokes the pcc and makes it extremely soft when compared to the 5007.
  5. Guys at blitzkrieg specifically told me to only use the spacer with the HD buffer. However I did run it with the 5007 and no other spacers and had zero problems. As others have said, after upgrading to the HD version, the 5007 will sit aside for now since the the HD and weight make a great short stroke system. Zero problems with it.
  6. https://www.titanrocket.com/magwells you could always look into these guys, maybe see who makes the lower for Foxtrot Mike and see what fits. Wouldn't hurt to e-mail them and see if they're working on one for it as well.
  7. That's exactly what I have right now and it runs great using the carbine tube. I should probably not change anything
  8. I have the New Frontier spacer and see where you're going with this. The only problem is, I've tried the 5007 with the 2.6oz weight and the new frontier spacer and the stroke was so short it wouldn't cycle - insanely soft and flat, once...so if I bet if I tried it with the 5015 it would be similar. But it won't hurt to try. Especially if I test the red sprinco as well.
  9. Any updates on this setup with the weight from Blitzkrieg? I just setup my PCC this weekend with the 2.6oz weight, 5015HD, and JP .308 rilfe spring and it's crazy soft but I'm curious of the wave springs...I also ordered the red sprinco to see the difference as a lot of PCC guys seem to be using them. My ammo PF is a bit lower though, I'm at 132 so I may be cutting reliability close with more.
  10. Brian over at Blitzkrieg said only use the 5007 with the .308 rifle spring although I'm sure you could put a stack of quarters or something at the end of the buffer tube to adjust stroke. I have the 2.6 oz weigh in front of the 5015HD with nothing behind the .308 spring and it's a short stroke setup now. The HD buffer with the weight is intended for a short stroke system. My JP bolt is definitely a bit softer with the 5015HD/2.6oz weight than my Foxtrot Mike bolt however JP is on a 16" where the FM is on a 14.5" - I believe the JP bolt weighs like 13.7oz and the FM bolt is around 14.9 oz or so. the FM has a weight that can removed but I haven't played around with removing it at all to see how it performs. I've seen you post on some other PCC posts so forgive me if I'm repeating myself since I probably start saying the same things on them, but if you want ammo that isn't as harsh as factory 115gr Blazer, check out Federal Syntech 124gr or 147gr ammo...hell even their 115gr. They're all minor power factor, I think they're all around 130-135 pf which as we're kind of seeing on posts seems to be a sweet spot for PCC loads. I don't think you'll ruin your lower mixing things around like that either but I know the feeling.
  11. I have seen others mention that with the weight as well, but I haven't had that issue with mine. I forgot who makes the buffer tube to even offer inside to manufacturing differences.
  12. I was wondering what was going on yesterday when I kept typing "rifle" on my iphone and it turned into a link and pushing the cursor back just before the R...
  13. Try adding the weight Blitzkrieg also sells, you'll notice a huge difference. It's only $20 I did this yesterday at the range. A 5007 w/ .308 rifle spring vs a 5015HD with their 2.6oz weight and the same JP .308 rifle spring. Massive difference in the way it shoots. also just realized I keep calling it a 5105HD on all my posts referring to it...
  14. I have a 5007 and 5105HD (plus the 2.6oz weight) Yesterday I set my 16" up with the 5105HD, 2.6 oz weight, and the .308 JP rifle length spring that came with my 5007 and I had zero issue with 132 pf ammo. It's insanely soft and when I shot it I had no malfunctions however a friend shot it and had a few issues because I don't think he was holding tight enough. Blitzkrieg says on their site you may have to try different buffer springs to get it exactly where you want it but I can tell you that with PF being in the mid 130s you shouldn't have any problems and it'll be a soft, reliable setup.
  15. Just an edit/information addition. I used Winchester 115gr and 124gr ammo, the regular white box with all black writing, and I used Sig 147gr ammo. If you don't reload and want minor power factor ammo for the same performance, look into Federal Syntech 147gr or even their new Syntech 135gr; it should give you very similar results as the reloads I'm shooting (147gr RN with 3.3g Titegroup).
  16. Hi all, So I just got home from the range doing all kinds of silly tests with various ammo, uppers, comps, and recoil systems. I took video but need to edit and post to YouTube for everyone to see. I figure I can give a brief run down here right now. I have two uppers: -14.5” Warsport with PWS pcc comp and a foxtrot mike bolt. -16” JP stainless with Venom DD comp and a JP stainless bolt. I’m running a CMC 3.5lb PCC trigger. The first test I ran was with the Blitzkrieg 5007 hydraulic buffer and 308 rifle length spring. The second test was with the new 5105HD hydraulic buffer AND the 2.6oz weight, also with 308 rifle length spring. I used factory 115gr, 124gr, and 147gr ammo. I also used 147gr reloads I typically run in both carry optics and PCC divisions. I choreographed everything through each upper for rough power factory numbers and they were as follows. Also note, I’m pretty sure there’s an error or two, I used the Dillon power factor calculator but may have forgotten to change the bullet weight. 14.5” upper PF numbers: 115gr - 163 124gr - 173 147gr - 176 147gr reloads - 154 16” upper PF numbers: 115gr - 150 124gr - 158 147gr - 149 147gr reloads - 132 I also tried some 124gr reloads at about 140-143pf that felt really good. Again, I think I screwed up the 14.5” upper numbers but they kind of make sense given burn rate with barrel length; I'm sure some velocity burns off after 14" or so. I’ll get to the point, everything factory felt very hot and the comps didn’t seem to tame recoil a ton between different bullet weights; wait for the video to judge yourself. But once I ran the reloads through the 16” upper with the 5105HD and weight, holy hell is that a soft shooting gun! I was blown away the second I shot the first round. It was reliable for me although very soft, the rounds ejected within inches of the gun, they were actually all on the bench next to me instead of thrown on the ground further away or behind. It it feels like a paintball gun or a 22 with slightly more kick than normal. I think if if you ran the Blitzkrieg 5105HD with their 2.6oz weight and ammo in the 135-145 power factor range you’ll be very happy and won’t worry about how well a comp works.
  17. Or a Holosun 510c - a bit heavier than DPP but massive/clear window and dot both great options
  18. I'll keep you updated. I got the Ibejiheads yesterday along with the newest Blitzkrieg buffer and will load some up during the week and hopefully hit the range this sunday and video all my findings with each configuration.
  19. Coated, yes, sorry. My buddy always calls them painted, bad habit I picked up haha. Does the plunk test do the same as using a case gauge or is this different? Thanks
  20. Hi all, I'm looking to change up my PCC loads for various performance aspects and partially going with the herd. I hear of many PCC guys going over to 124gr loads over 147gr. I know buffer and everything else matters but I'm concerned with reloading for now. I'm currently running 3.3grs Titegroup with Xtreme 147gr RN and a 1.15" OAL. No idea what FPS or PF (no chrono). I'd like something that runs a little more quickly. The main reason I run this formula is because it's what I use in my CO guns and my PCC is sub-MOA accurate with them but a tad sluggish cycling. I ordered 1000 125gr RN Ibejiheads and was looking for some tips from guys running painted bullets on PCC platform. The Hodgdon site shows a starting load of 3.6grs with a max of 4.0grs but a OAL of 1.125 for 125gr rounds and for 124gr rounds the OAL is a dash longer and max charge is a whopping 0.1grs higher. These are also pistol load data points so I don't know how much should change for a PCC. I dropped an Ibeji into my press and without touching anything I get 1.14" OAL. I figure with a PCC this won't be much of an issue and was thinking of doing some load development with 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8 to see how they all perform. Any recommendations on loads or am I pretty much heading the right direction? I'm running a 14.5" AND a 16" upper if that matters. Thanks! Update after post: COATED bullets, not painted
  21. I'm running my 14.7" (carbine length) with an adjustable block, H1 buffer (4 oz), RangerProof Enhanced BCG, and a Precision Armament M11 Severe duty compensator and it's insanely soft and fast. I have it set right where it's reliable with anything I feed it. Another setup I have is a 16" with a VG6 Gamma, carbine length gas (not adjustable), I forgot who makes but the bolt but believe it's AR15 cut over M16, and I think a plain old buffer out of a tube kit and that's also super soft as well.
  22. The CMC 9mm PCC trigger is great. I replaced an Efltmann PCC trigger with this. I run CMC is every AR I have because they run flawlessly. I had so many problems with my Elftmann like failure to reset, hang ups. Elftmann sent me a brand new one and I through it on eBay because I didn't want to run the chance of dealing with it it again. It felt great when it worked but it cost me time during matches.
  23. It's basically just cosmetic if you have it short stroke and LRBHO doesn't function. You can leave it out although I feel the gun looks completely with it installed....unless you're really trying to save that 1/4 ounce
  24. $2900 without optics, just like a some open guns
