  1. Has anyone tried to size brass on an APP yet, specifically 9mm? I've seen videos on YouTube of folks sizing rifle and larger pistol brass but no one sizing 9mm.
  2. He's hard at work on his post count but my guess is it will hardly work out for him when he posts that ad!
  3. +1 I use Arredondo's as well and have nothing but good things to say. Bonus for magazine restricted states is that their +0 extensions are the same size as the +5s so the feel is exactly the same between high cap and low cap magazines.
  4. This is exactly it. Comparing popular Production/CO guns (those most likely to be "stock"), there's a huge variation between an out of the box P320 XFive Legion/Walther Q5 SF/CZ Shadow 2 (including Orange) and more common pistols like the Glock 17/34, CZ PF10, FN509 etc. But more than anything, what does Stock accomplish? You can already do that now in Production or Limited (minor or major) if you so choose.
  5. I've been very pleased with the work they've done for me in the past and I've actually not had any issues regarding communication. Much like any other in-demand smiths and shops, they don't have a ton of time to sit around and respond to all questions. Not making any excuse, it's just the reality of the situation. I think you'll be very pleased with any work done by them, assuming that they are able to do the work that you are asking of them. They are jam-packed with their "bread and butter" products so they don't have time to do one-off projects; I've asked in the past and they very politely let me know their current workload just wouldn't allow it.
  6. Any pictures of the refinished slide?
  7. Does it come with any plates? If so, which ones?
  8. I don't believe the RMR and the Viper share the same mounting hole location so you'd have to find something that mounted to the existing RMR pattern screws that was low profile but still had enough meat to accept tapped holes for the Viper (in the style of the MOS plates mounting to the slide but then being able to mount the optic on top of it). I don't believe such an animal exists. Plus not knowing what your current slides look like, do you have recoil bosses for the RMR? That's something else to consider that would interfere with any mounting solution. I had the opposite problem (Vortex Venom cut looking to change to an RMR/SRO cut) and asked all of the major players but unfortunately once the slide is milled, it looks like a universal solution might be the only option, at least that I could find.
  9. I think you might be out of luck there, I don't know of anyone making plates or adapters that fit a slide already milled for a specific optic. Your only choice is probably something like Agency or Unity to have it cut for their optic mounting systems.
  10. The 508T actually weighs slightly more than the 407 or 507 (2 oz compared to 1.5 oz), the main benefit to the 508T is supposed to be the more durable titanium housing (compared to the aluminum housing of the 407/507). In the Sage Dynamics video above, he drops the pistol on the optic from shoulder height 4 times over 2,000 rounds and the zero is still the same. It does look a bit worse for wear cosmetically though
  11. The 508 has a titanium housing (the T after 508T). The 507v2 is more similar to the 407v2, with the multiple reticle options.
  12. Any POA POI issues with the fixed sights? Looking to make my G44 competitive for GSSF rimfire (I just can't do the stock sights) and was looking at an adjustable rear sight to compensate for any differences with .22lr
  13. I've also seen a little bit of "dust" using Sport Pistol but not near as much accumulation as in your picture. I've traced most of mine to some residue left on the powder funnel after charging a number of rounds.
  14. I got a V-shaped bracket from Harbor Freight and attached it to the door of my reloading room with 3M pull tabs. Total was like $3 (got the bracket with a coupon for $.99) https://www.harborfreight.com/v-shape-hang-all-68995.html
  15. Uhaul has good size, inexpensive boxes as does Wal-Mart. I think the 14x14x14 from Wal-Mart might fit the casefeeder and the box is less than $1.
  16. I have a subscription with the Blue Bullets. It's a good way to still get a decent, regular discount (though not as good as their Black Friday) and spread the cost over the year. I'm looking to re-up so I can lock in another year at current pricing, no telling how high things might get with COVID and the election.
  17. Anyone come up with a good combination of aftermarket sights for the G44 yet?
  18. I've been looking at the 508T for the same role (on a multi-purpose G45). I also don't think there's enough of a difference between that and the 509T but I like the smaller form factor of the 508T. There is a tiny difference in window size (.66x.90 for the 509t and .63x.91 for the 508t) but as Michael303 said not really significant. I've actually thought about buying a used 407 or 507 first to see if I like it before committing to the 508t, especially now with the price increase of the V2.
  19. Another happy user here, Dan is excellent to work with and all of his stuff is made right and made to last.
  20. David makes a really nice frame weight that I believe is the heaviest you can get but you will have to get a custom holster (he is selling one but Lytton Custom does too). I think Red Hill Tactical makes a holster for his frame weight too (this is likely the cheapest of the 3). https://www.dcprecisionllc.com/product-page/competition-frame-weight If you're after a heavy magwell I definitely recommend the SJC brass magwell too.
  21. Ben Stoeger Pro Shop has some https://benstoegerproshop.com/sig-sauer-romeo1-pro-6-moa-red-dot-optic-sight-in-fde/?fbclid=IwAR2JRIMhsfjRO1T7yvLl94efK8r6i-RuQ0z3m7eAJ8I7WNZjjRwaCebgd-M
  22. Thanks for all of the info, I went ahead and picked up sample packs of each to play with.
  23. I'm looking to start reloading coated bullets, specifically Blue Bullets, and wondering if profile (Round Nose vs. Truncated Cone) matters? I'll be loading in a Gen4 Glock 17 and looking to load something in 124/5 grain weight.
  24. As others have alluded to, I think the question for you may come down to what kind of brass you intend to feed the machine. If you're talking pick it up out of the mud, clean it and start the reloading process, then either the 1100 or Evolution will be a better option. If you have a bunch of already semi-processed brass, buy it from a reputable source, etc., then the 750 should probably serve you fine. I would second or third or whatever, that while neither the 750 nor the 1050/1100 was truly designed to be automated, the 1050/1100 will handle it a whole heck of a lot better. Best of luck!
