No judgement at all, that looks like a sweet new blaster! Enjoy it!

"Well that red dot needs some adjustment" - Yes definitely, it needs to be turned around to face the other way!

Just saw these as well, can't wait for some more information on the RL 1100
-
Can't argue with what's already been said but if your looking for a highly recommended setup Johnny Glocks is one of the best, especially for the Gen5.
-
Yes what Paul49 said. It will depend on if you plan on adding any accessories to the gun that could change the profile, specifically the rail area right in front of the trigger guard.
-
I'm not sure if Primary Machine does 1911/2011 slides but if they do they would be my 1st choice!
-
Yes, external magwell is prohibited for CO (App D7, 22.3 2019 Rules).

Appendix D7, 21.3 reads" BARRELS: You may replace the barrel with an OFM or aftermarket barrel of the same length and caliber as the original barrel for that model of gun. Special Notes/Clarifications: A barrel within +/-0.1” of OFM is the same length. Barrels of the same length and caliber but with different crown profiles are authorized." Being that it specifies same length and within +/-0.1" of the original barrel for the model, I believe an extended/threaded barrel would be illegal.

Double Alpha Bullet Feeder Price
cjmill87 replied to Overscore's topic in non-Dillon Reloading Equipment
Even if you were to go with one of the various cheaper 3-D printed models from what I have seen they all seem to rely to some degree on DAA parts or a lot of DIY ingenuity. So if you are switching multiple calibers I'm not sure how much your really saving overall. You could also wait to find a used one or like Beef said wait for a Black Friday sale. -
Definitely adding this to the 2019 must-see list. Say what you will about Keanu but at least it's entertaining.

Another vote for the MBF!

Sarge, That's what I was specifically referring to, cutting/carving out a diagonal area further into the frame, that the thumb references to on top of the stippled area (creating a ledge). That's what my understanding of the Accelerator (synonym for *thumb rest [generic]*?) Cut is.
-
Sarge, is there a definition of what constitutes a thumbrest somewhere? Asking because I considered doing an Accelerator cut on my CO Glock 17 very similar to the one in the picture and was told by some local shooters (who I consider generally very knowledgeable of the rules) that it would be considered a thumbrest. Thanks in advance.

Doesn't it look like that Accelerator cut creates a "thumbrest" in violation of Appendix D4 22.2 or D7 21.4?

Mirror adaptation for 550C?

I just saw that mirror the other day when I was in there and thought it could be useful for something like that, thank you for the pictures! -
How did I ever survive before my dillon 650?
cjmill87 replied to mag17's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
Sounds like you have all your bases covered, I am enjoying my 650 as well but keep hearing the whispers for 1050 -

Wow that's a great price! Good luck with them (seriously, I'm sure everyone is really jealous!), hopefully its not caveat emptor. -
Real RNDs / Hour Reloading
cjmill87 replied to rhett45acp's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I check and pre-sort all of my brass and then clean it. While that does take more time on the "front-end", then I can be 100% sure that I've eliminated any potential problems related to wrong caliber or questionable headstamp brass. That makes the loading then go much faster when you don't have to worry about the brass and can focus your attention on monitoring the powder station. IMO the advantage of the case feeder is again allowing you to focus on other (more important?) parts of the loading process and doing it (loading brass into the press) faster/more efficiently than by hand alone. -
Real RNDs / Hour Reloading
cjmill87 replied to rhett45acp's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I've been wondering something like this myself (Rnds per hour output) in looking at a 650 vs. 1050 as many of the discussions on here are about. If one is say only processing and loading 9mm, is there a true output difference between a 1050 and a 650 (assuming both have case feeders and bullet feeders)? -
Dillon 1050 vs 550b - when to upgrade??
cjmill87 replied to mvmojo's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
Wow that is a heck of a deal, I'd say for that price definitely jump on. Worst case you don't like it, you can resell and easily recoup your money (and maybe a little extra too). -
Check out Bobcat Armament, he gets used 650s in every now and then. Also there are definitely some deals to be had on used presses, check out Facebook, Armslist etc to see if there are any close. The great thing about buying the 650 used is you can send it back to Dillon to be "re-freshed" if you have any questions or concerns with it.

mill glock slide for red dot services?
cjmill87 replied to currahee1911's topic in General Gunsmithing
I've had work done by Primary Machine and Jagerwerks, highly recommend both! -
Shoot it and then be sure to report back on the barrel, those look like a real deal if they are half-way decent.
