  1. Depending on how invested in the SRO you are, you could also try a different slide. You don't say what the configuration of your current slide is (I'm assuming M.O.S.), but having an aftermarket milled slide would allow you to place the SRO more rearward and possibly eliminate the issue. Again, another alternative to buying new optics.

@galt11 In that case, you are even further limited in your available options as it relates to optic cuts. The most commonly available option in an already milled aftermarket slide is the RMR/SRO footprint. I don't believe anyone makes an aftermarket Glock slide cut for any of the Sig optics or Cmore micro red dots. I'd suggest you first consider what optic you would want to run and then look at available manufacturers. An alternative would be to try and buy an M.O.S slide (stripped or complete) for either the 17 or the 34 (or both) and have the flexibility to run different optics.

    Gen 4 Slide

It might depend on what optic your looking to mill for. For instance, some shops don’t mill for the Romeo 3 Max/XL. I’ve had good results from Primary Machine and Jagerwerks but there are plenty of great shops out there.
  5. How many rounds do you have on the Justice? Any issues so far?
  6. Congrats on the finish and being ahead of the curve on your goals. Probably now safe to say that the title of the thread and some of the discussion here have been proven. Maybe the G26 becomes the hot ticket in CO in 2021?
  7. Curious as well, looking to upgrade to these in plastic. Could anyone that has them comment on their use in the bullets out configuration?
  8. First, the RL1100 does not come with a bullet feeder. There are places you could back order an RL1100 with no dies or caliber conversion, but truthfully the $ may not make sense unless you have particular dies you like that are not Dillon ($1,850 for small primer unit with no dies or caliber conversion, add $130 for caliber conversion, $76 for Dillon 9mm carbide 3 die set). So in terms of cross-over from 550 - 1050, not a whole lot there for you other than dies. They use 2 different style case feeders and while you can set the 550 up with a bullet feeder, you are then stuck with crimping and seating in station 4, which some people find less than ideal. My .02 if you are a first time reloader would be to go with the 550, learn to make good ammo, and if/when you're ready step up to either the 750 or the 1050/1100. The other challenge for you will to be find components, specifically primers, so unless your sitting on a stash or know where you can get some (hopefully not at 5x prices), neither machine will do you much good in the short term.
  9. Heck if anyone in the Northeast wants to spend $600 on 2K Federal Small Pistol Primers I'll drive them to your house! (just kidding, unless....) I do wonder how many of those Gunbroker auctions never finalize, seems like a huge uptick in Non-rated buyers.
  10. Well that’s one way to introduce yourself here. I’d say if you didn’t have the decency to help your squad tear down a stage for what, maybe 15-20 minutes after shooting (and that’s being conservative), then you should probably find a different hobby. I’m sure if you expressed that opinion to the range staff, they’d tell you thanks for showing up but we don’t need your match fee. As others have said, the match fee in no way represents the work needed to put on the match.
  11. As Sethdaniel05 said, once you have the appropriate guide rod for the Gen 5, the springs don't differentiate between generations.
  12. It absolutely can, just pick the machine shop of your choice. Just remember though, once it's milled for a particular optic footprint, that's what your stuck with. Some people elect to buy an aftermarket slide to retain their stock factory slide, but it is not necessary.
  13. I would vote to keep the 550 but belus has a point re: selling high right now and buying back later on if your needs change. Think about how many people had no interest in reloading, now suddenly do and depending on the election they may be dumping all of that stuff in a year. Reloading is work and some of those people will choose not to continue that work in the future. So if money is tight now or could be better applied to components (hopefully at somewhat reasonable prices), sell high and try to buy low in the future. As for precision, the 550 or the 750 will load as precise as you can, several world class long range shooters like John Whidden use Dillon progressives (he used the 650 IIRC) to load very accurate ammo for long range precision competition.
  14. These are just my thoughts, no concrete evidence to back this up: 1) Steel Challenge truly has become a niche unto itself; I believe it used to be thought of as a sideshow to USPSA or additional practice, but now it can fully stand on it's own. Therefore, dedicated participants are moving into areas that either a) attract more sponsorship or b) are easier/cheaper/faster to shoot (see below) 2) The lower barrier to entry for Rimfire and lack of movement (compared to USPSA or even IDPA) has encouraged more Junior and even family participation 3) The cost and availability of decent quality 22 ammo makes it much more appealing than the centerfire divisions 4) Steel Challenge emphasizes speed in all of it's promotional advertising and I think by and large rimfire (and PCC) divisions produce faster overall times. Looking at these factors (especially from the perspective of a new competitor), why wouldn't I start out and continue in a rimfire division? No need to invest in belts, mag pouches, holsters etc. (if you didn't want to), lower recoil/no holster draw (helps with faster times), cheaper ammo, etc.

    Glock 34 Trigger

Springs are inter-changeable (to some extent, ISMI vs. Wolff) when you get an appropriate guide rod. Carver Custom has a pretty extensive selection and Jager Products has some options as well.
  16. This is actually a whole new product, different from the previously released Primer-Pro Collator. More akin to the FA Vibra Prime
  17. Interesting new primer filling tube option from Double Alpha I stumbled across this morning. Who wants to be the first to buy one and provide a review? https://www.doublealpha.biz/us/primafill
  18. Does anyone else have feedback on sizing handgun brass, specifically 9mm on the APP? Just looking to see if there is any issue based on the amount of flex with the press that I have seen in YouTube videos.
  19. Base pads from the majority of known manufacturers should be good to go for Production. A mag gauge won't really help you there as they are designed for the 140mm and 170mm magazines, neither of which apply to Production. To check if you are Production legal, you'd have to get the Production box. Shock Bottle (at Ben Stoeger) are very easy to get off if you clean your mags a lot, otherwise Dawson is a pretty tried and true option. Go with whatever works for your budget and tastes (colors, materials, etc.), they all weight about the same and are about the same size. Taylor Freelance makes a brass version that might weight a little bit more than others but it is likely negligible.
  20. The grip angle of the Glock is different than the XD series, that might be adding to the discomfort. Do you know anyone else with a full size gun that has a grip angle close to the XD she can try? That would be a low or no cost method to determine if the 34 will work for her once you add other things to it. There's only so many ways to add weight to the Glock, but I agree with tdp88 that a next step could be to get a reduced power recoil setup.
  21. Looks like you guys all broke Powder Valley's site
  22. Thanks! That's what I thought but wasn't sure. A friend shot this match in Open and thought he might be looking at a match bump but he didn't beat the additional 5%
  23. Maybe a silly question but which % does this relate to, the actual % or the % possible? Recent example of Lvl II below
  24. As has been discussed in some of your other threads, pick one and go. Analysis paralysis is not helping you decide, or get better, and neither is a random sampling of an internet forum. Everyone will have an opinion, but it doesn't matter because they are not you. While this forum is often a great resource to virtually "try before you buy" and get honest feedback on gear, no one here can shoot the equipment for you on the clock at your match. It's not an inexpensive hobby and we've all probably spent money we regret, but for the $35-50 for a dovetail mount just go buy one and strap it on. Shoot it a bunch and then make an honest assessment. If it doesn't work, sell it and move on to the next experiment.
  25. I would definitely recommend a Dillon 550 to start. Yes the initial cost of a Dillon will be higher than a Lee setup but the Dillon retains its value and even appreciates. So if you decide to get out of reloading in the future, you will recoup a far greater percentage of your investment. Only you can decide what your budget is but the smart play is the 550 if you can swing it.
