I don’t think the tungsten grip is appreciably softer than the normal poly grip. Atleast I haven’t noticed any difference. My magwell is beat up, sure. My practice gun has many thousands of dry reps and it’s really not that bad off. As far as cost of the grip, in relation to to other costs in the sport I don’t think buying a new one is that big of a deal. Personally I have 3 spares that I rotate redoing the carbide grip, but that’s just me, everyone’s situation is different.
