  1. hammer block and safety flag are two different things
  2. Rogers Better Bullets makes a 150 lead round nose. I use in my 38 short colt. You should be able to use it and the same load for your 147 9mm load and give you the same PF. www.rogersbetterbullets.com and it is the 38 super 150gr RN sized .357. Great bullet and they are great to order from.
  3. There are some 625 models you want to stay away from and maybe someone will chip in with those numbers.
  4. If you are going to shoot major a S&W 625 with a 5" barrel and if changes go through and you want to shoot minor then a S&W 627 with a 5" barrel. A S&W 25 will also work but from what I understand you will need to shoot jacketed bullets only. Some shoot S&W 610 and shoot 40 S&W.
  5. make sure you get some single North Mountain to have on your belt. Because you can't load the server real quick off the table and they do come in handy for extra clips if needed
  6. James Austin moon clip server is nice on you only have to reach for one spot for all your moon clips. Get 2 North Mountain single posts to use when you have to load off the table
  7. polish and round the trigger. works wonders
  8. Why not shoot 38 Short Colt same loads as 9mm and you don't have to rechamber your cylinder. You will still need to shoot .357 or .358 bullets in the barrel that is still on the revolver. I just don't see the need unless you change the barrel to .356 or .355. Brass cost for reloading for the 9mm is cheaper than 38 Short Colt brass, bullets would be about the same. Cost for re-chamber would let you buy at least 1000 Short Colt and they should last forever. Just my thoughts.
  9. Does your rear sight bottom out on the frame?
  10. Roger Better Bullets, Xtreme Bullets, Billy Bullets there are a number of brands out there it just depends on what weight and if you want lead, moly or poly coated, plated or jacketed. If you find a bullet in .358 you like just buy a lee sizing die at .357 and a cheap single stage press and resize. That is what I currently do now.
  11. Look in handloads.com they show about 4 different loads for the 200 LRN. Two should make major.
  12. Let me clarify myself as the only matches I ran were ICORE and we only had Limited and Open but I would make sure M, A, B, C and D classes were all treated fairly.
  13. When I ran matches I would distribute prizes equally through the divisions and reserve the best for the overall winner. But I would make sure to leave a special prize for the last place finisher to recognize them for coming and trying and to make sure that they would return next year. After all it is the middle and lower part of the contestants that actually bring the money into the matches as they number more than the top shooters.

    What Grips

Major loads Hogue Big Butt all wood really tame the recoil and for minor they also work real well. Some like the Miculek Grip for speed shooting. They go for about $100 a pop and they can be had with or without finger grooves. If you call Hogue and talk to them they will checker them if you want. I once sent in a outline of my hand with measurements and they cut them to fit.

    What Grips

What revolver are you putting these on and what will you be using the revolver in?
  16. This is way off base and the only real thing that this is about is change to try and entice, promote and to get more revolver shooters out there. If it doesn't work it reverts back to the way it is now in 2 years.Good luck thinking it will revert. If voted in this is likely to be a permanent change -- could it be undone, sure, but it would take another board vote in two years.... Sorry I mistook an earlier statement as it would revert back in 2 yrs. Thanks for the clarification.
  17. This is way off base and the only real thing that this is about is change to try and entice, promote and to get more revolver shooters out there. If it doesn't work it reverts back to the way it is now in 2 years. I doubt if S&W would bribe the BOD to maybe sell 100 to 300 new revolvers. I think they have better things to do. I want to thank you for your military duty as that is one of the reasons we get to play games such as these and get to comment on forums. I do hope that when you are done with your deployment you do give revolver a chance. Again thanks to all former, present and future Veterans and happy 4th of July.
  18. If it was a done deal, as you said, we wouldn't still be talking about it. What I told you was spot on. What we had was something that was added to the meeting agenda a the last moment. It is good that we are having member feedback, because I don't think you want division changes made on the fly, by folks sitting in a meeting trying to get through a work load full of various business. I guess to clarify myself the done deal was to bring it to the board and not just another topic talked about by members and never taken to the board. I appreciate the hard work you and the other board members put in to make our sport what it is today. For revolver division I hope there is change and just for the record I would like to see 8 minor/6 major and if possible somehow get open revolver in the game. Again thanks for all your hard work and I never meant any disrespect.
  19. They are already out there and have been for years. I think Vic Mahan (not sure on the last name) has a 9 or 10 shot 32mag.
  20. that is the part of the hammer that is removed when carmonized
