  1. I am going major even though I have plenty of 8 shots laying around. I am just not fully convinced that the 8 shot minor can take the 6 shot major but a lot will depend on course design and if it is 8 shot friendly then I might have to shoot one of my 8 shots.
  2. 25 out of 47 entries have declared minor. Interesting or at least I think so.
  3. As of today 47 of the 130 slots are filled. Don't miss out sign up now.
  4. Give John a call I am sure he could send you a sample pack. All of his bullets are black and he coats them twice and they look real nice. I have not tried Bayou bullets but I would imagine quality in both of these brands would be equal.
  5. If we are wishing early for Christmas why not a 10 shot 327 on an X frame with a slab barrel 6 1/2" just like the first run of 6 1/2" 627's.
  6. Yes they worked well, I was able to Roll Crimp them even. Only issue is finding them regularly at this point. I used 3.2 Titegroup, ran out of bullets before I started working with Clays. Tried WST and RS Competition but didn't like either, had to go to 135+PF to eliminate unburnt powder and stabilize the velocities. Revoman I'd like the info you have on the 357 Xtreme 147 RN bullets, they do measure a true .357 right? Tried some .356 147 Berry's and they were all over the place. I will be home tomorrow and put my loads on here. Just make sure you do order the .357 bullets as they come in both .356 and .357. If you need just 100 to test for loads I can send you 100. Let me just make sure I have some at home. I will also measure them when I get home. XTreme 147gr .357 RN, 4.0 grains Vihtavuori N330, seated 1.140. ( I am not sure why I have this in my book but I have PF from 124 to 130) Maybe because I was using my VComp and maybe the low was with the comp (Which I opened as much as I could) and maybe the high was with the blank comp on. They do measure .357. I had excellent results in my VComp with these. Roger Better Bullets (Kings Shooter Supply) 150gr .357 RN lead, 2.9 grains Vihtavuori N310, seated 1,160, 125 PF. Out of my 627 that has had cylinder cut back to Short Colt length and with a 6" .356 barrel, comp and 3 poppel holes. I lose a lot of gas at the end of the cylinder as with the shortness of the cylinder it is free bore all the way to the forcing cone. So with a full length cylinder you might get some more FPS with this load. I have been playing around with coating lead bullets using Epoxy Powder Coat and 2 part Epoxy paint. So far I am using 2 Alpha Bullets .357 160 grain lead RN. Using lead with wax lube these are the loads and PF. 3.2 grains Vihtavouri N320 Seated 1.150 125 PF 3.2 grains Vihtavouri N320 Seated 1.175 128 PF Both of those were lead and wax lube 3.2 grains Vihtavouri N320 Seated 1.150 134 PF (a little sticky on extraction) 3.2 grains Vihtavouri N320 Seated 1.160 132 PF 3.2 grains Vihtavouri N320 Seated 1.175 133 PF These were all epoxy coated bullets with less smoke and cleaner gun. All loads were shot through my 627 with the Short Colt Cylinder and .356 barrel with comp and poppel holes. All bullets sized .357. 3.9 grains Vihtavouri N330, 170 gr Billy Bullet moly coated. seated 1.220, 132 PF sized .358 shot out of same 627. Two Alpha Bullets is starting to make coated bullets and even though he does not show the 160 RN he can make them for you. Just tell him Dean Gomez sent you. John is great to work with. http://twoalphabullets.com/Supercoat%20Bullets.htm

  8. When I get back to my house I will post the load I use for these. I have had excellent results with these.
  9. I think the maker is the only place you can get them.
  10. I have seen Jerry M shoot a VComp and it doesn't seem to slow him down. In fact he has won a few IRCs with it. :-)
  11. Dillon 650 large and small primers for my 610, 625 and 627 all primets seated with just an extrs shove at seating the primer. Thousands upon thousands of rounds for years never not had a primer go off because of not seated deep enough. I have Carmonized, Apex, Pinnacle, Prest and my own trigger jobs all ranging from 5 to 6.5 lbs. Two different 650's one for large and one for small primers nothing ever done to priming systems. Just my 2 cents.
  12. If you can shoot all A's with minor and at the same speed, hands down the minor will win especially if it saves a reload. I find myself trying to push faster with the 8 shot because I know I have 2 extra shots and then my hits are not all A's. Stage design will be a big difference in what works best. This is only my opinion and it does have it's flaws. :-)
  13. True ICORE stages should be 6 shot revolver friendly. Maybe stage design was off.
  14. You can buy extractor rod's from 8 to 10 dollars and have a few extra on hand for the price you will pay for the tool.
  15. I stand corrected it should be already cut for moon clips. Maybe the only real difference is the barrel length and a few other minor things between the PC and the Pro. With the cost difference between the two you can get a really nice trigger job done.
  16. I might be wrong but I don't think they are cut for moon clips. Other than that a good trigger job and having it cut for moon clips it would be good to go.
  17. Hope this works and the only one not pictured is my 38 Short Colt. Like I always say nothing of mine is for sale but it can be bought.
  18. I tried to put pictures up but evidently I can't get it done, sorry.
  19. Maybe it's time I sell my 627 6 1/2" and my 27-7 6 1/2". Oh the possibilities! A 6.5 inch 627? {drool} I love my 6.5 inch 610. I would think a 6.5 inch 627 would be awesome. Please don't sell it cause I would then have to buy it and then get shot with it when my wife finds out!
  20. Maybe it's time I sell my 627 6 1/2" and my 27-7 6 1/2". Oh the possibilities!
  21. If you nay sayers are going to sell all of your 6 shots pm me with a price. :-)
  22. I am like Carmoney and have removed all hammer blocks from my competition revolvers and all revolvers with key locks and hammers skeletonized or Carmonized I have removed the key lock as it no longer serves it's purpose and I don't like them anyway.
  23. Hammer block is used to keep the hammer from hitting the firing pin when hammer is in the down position or in other words if the revolver is dropped with a live round under the hammer and it lands on the hammer it will stop it from firing. The flag in which I think earplug is referring to would be the lock that is now found on all new S&W revolver.
