  3. Why would someone be at a disadvantage with a glock in limited or L-10?? Both divisions have been won at nationls by a shooter using one. MDA
  4. Dwain Try youtube And for the Double Tap Douple Tap Have to agree with everybody else. Some really rough gun handling, slopy grips, crappy reloads, Slow, ect....... But the idea is kind of cool anyway. MDA
  5. Just curious, why different for sideways mounts? why 25? All my irons and now my sideways, I usually zero at 18 yards to give me a compromise between the 5 yard targets and the 30 yard targets. Thanks for any info... Parallax error. The farther the scope is from the bore the greater the error. So if you sight in at 16-17ft with a c-more dead on, close targets will have hits lower then dot and longer targets will have hits higher then the dot. Think about it, if you have a point blank target hits will be low the distance from bore to dot/sight aim point. For hits to impact, at the dot/sight aim point, you have to have some angle between the bullet flight path and the line of sight path before they will intersect. You still have the error with iron, side, or slide ride dot sights it is just not as great. i.e. less angle. MDA
  6. From watching the video it looks like the brass is hitting the bottom of the scope as it is not ejecting out to the side but down and it look like a few are even hitting you hand. Check and see if there are ding on the bottom of the scoope to comfirm. MDA
  7. MMMMM!!! Pig Picking NC style. Got my mouth watering as I type just thinking about it. Congates, sounds like you have a keeper. MDA
  8. You can get a slide, but SV will not sell frames anymore. MDA
  9. Plus $50 for shipping and hazmat fees. MDA
  10. Yep!! it Sucks. Had mine about 12 years ago, Heck still have it. Was at home getting ready for work and just bent down to pick up a coin off the floor and it felt like someone stabed me in the butt with a knife. Luckly for me I did not have surgery just went through physical therapy and relearned how to lift things correctly. Still flairs up once in a while, mostly just starts as a dull pain and numb right big toe and that is when I know I have over done it. Pop some ibuprofen and take it easy for a few days and is goes away. Good luck Kevin hope it does not get any worse or require surgery. MDA
  11. Try Google translate. Select the listen icon and hear it spoken. http://translate.google.com/?hl=en#it|en|diligentia%20vis%20celeritas MDA
  12. Good luck getting squaded. Last I looked there were only 5 opening with 40 un-squaded shooters!!!! WTF Open/lim10/rev Match Shot over 4 days, half day format. squads 1-18 AM,PM,AM,PM or squads 19-36 PM,AM,PM,AM. MDA
  13. What cartridge? 9mm luger, 38 special, 9mm major, 38 super? What type of gun glock, STI/SVI, CZ?? There will generally be a range of OAL that will work in a particular gun make, but it is best to test a number of different OAL with in that range and see what is best for your gun. MDA
  14. But, can you add one to your belt in the middle of the match? MDA
  15. Wow!! channel lock's now a screw. Sounds like you should start leaving the repair to someone else for your own health. MDA
  16. They do now. Only been up a month. http://www.oxfordpracticalshooters.com MDA
  17. Is it only on the iPhone? Thanks - I appreciate that. On IE it pops up when cursor enters the topic window. Kind of cool, alowing preview before loading/change web page. Does not on the home page through. MDA
  18. Are you looking at the front sight or the target? What was your hold/sight picture on the plate compared to other guy, center or 6 o'clock? Grip can, sometimes, change index between different shooter on same gun. Since you have fixed sight, you will need to spend some time at different distances to determine the sight picture/alignment and point of impact relationship. MDA
  19. You will need to fit a new thumb saftey or peen the one you have and refit it. What is happening is the thumb saftey sear stop is to far back allowing sear movement when you pull trigger with it on, then when you drop the saftey the hammer will follow. See the following link for instruction on how to correct. Fitting Thumb Saftey Mark
  20. Bulleye is just a dirty powder as well as being fast buning on an exposed lead base bullet. MDA
  21. One delta, one mike. First bullet touched the perf and penetrated the target. Second one did not penetrate the target so mike. Target sticks do not exist no mater what color they are. MDA
  22. Yes, n340 and n350 powders work well with 9 mm they are just slower burning powders which will have a lower slower pressure profile. Mostly personal preference and what you are trying to achieve in terms of performance. Fast powder heavy bullet tends to be snapper and slow powders tend to be have more of a push recoil feel. MDA
  23. Hey!! That sounds like the directions to Rayner's range in southeast Ohio. Mark
  24. Win231 is slower burning then Clays and will be fine for 40 S&W. My book for a 180 FMJ start with 4.5 gn to max a of 5.0 gn for about 950 FPS. With lead or moly start about 0.5 gn less and work up. Lead and moly tends to require a little less then jacket due to Leads/molys lubricity(lower friction )when compared to copper. MDA
