Some guns will run with both. Difference is in the extractor. Super should rim should ride on the extractor, Super comp/TJ extractor tip rides on the grove. The TJ brass has a slightly different groove dim and thicker web at the base then SC.

Should be, location for production nationals was announced at the 2012 production nationals awards banquet, same for Open nationals in St. George, not sure on limited or limited 10. MDA

I seem to remember RO'ing you at a local match a few years ago, when you were not shooting a glock, with a gun that did not have any front sight. Did not seem to really matter as you still out shoot almost everybody there. MDA

aaahhhhh, in 8 years the next youngest GM. MDA

Allowed calibers if caliber is not specified on Production gun list

It would most likely be over the weight limit. MDA -
Around 2010, Mag release hole is in a different location.

Because; someone could use any firearm chambered in 9 mm, not designed or built to withstand the high pressure associated with 9mm Major, and blow it up. Has nothing to do with mag capacity. MDA

Burn rate, barrel length, bullet weight, twist rate
mda replied to 9/45's topic in General Reloading
See link below for some of the info you are looking for. Not really in depth and directed toward pistol, a lot will depend on what you are trying to achieve. Barrel twist info MDA -
You will find burn rate charts provided by most powder companies. However; most are slightly different and should be only used as a reference. Hodgdon chart Accurate powder Vithavuori MDA

Yes, barrel heating up could cause lower velocity due to expansion\dilation of the bore. MDA

Lol are you guys in So CA? If so there's only one place this could have happened We are in the southwest.... of Ohio. Ahhh TW. I get a chuckle every time I go there just to look around, It's kind of on the way home from a USPSA match. Some of the things I have overheard salesperson say just make me cringe. All I do to can to keep my mouth shut and walk away. MDA

No problem. 11 lbs per person per bag. So two people traveling with two bags and 11 lbs in each bag, good to go. Technically, no she does not have to declare but it is better if you do so TSA is not surprised. I usually only declare the gun and only say I have 11 lbs of ammo if they ask. Never get the same treatment, some agents kind of freak out and want you to prove the gun is unloaded and weight the ammo. Others don't even break stride, accept you word and place the special tag in you baggage and off you go. Same with the bag screening TSA agent, some want to open the bag and inspect everything, other simply look up and see you waiting the just nod and off the bag goes. Some the worst are the small town air ports. You can always ship your ammo to the match. American Shooters Supply in Vegas has been a match sponsor in the past and has offered to receive ammo for competitors several weeks before the match. Watch for additional info on the Nationals website. MDA

Well KC did not "put time behind this gun" it was brand new. He had not shot it in a match before, if at all, and had at least two failure to eject completely jams. MDA -
Not normally used for 9mm so might be hard to find load data. Not sure why other then case volume/fast powder combination results in higher pressure, but than again you see loads for N320 and it is faster than WST. You will have better luck finding load data for WSF. MDA

Gravity is always constant. The trajectory path will vary depending on the angle of the axis of the bore. Gravity does stay constant. I agree. But the effect of gravity will vary depending on the angle of axis of bore. You are correct the gravitational "force" will not vary, but will not the rate of the bullet drop vary? Gravity is Gravity is Gravity. All objects will always fall at the contast rate perpendicular to the surface of earth. Now fall is relative to the bore axis so the bullet will never go above the muzzle height if you were to draw an imagine line that extended out the muzzle for infinity. The trajectory changes, but the vertical force is always the same force of gravity. The horizontal forces changes due to velocity slowing down because of drag. NO. Earths gravity is not constant. It varies slightly depending were and and when you are and it changes slightly constantly. Look up Gravity Recovery And Climate Experiment (GRACE), a joint mission of NASA and the German Aerospace Center. NASA has been measure earth surface gravity for a number of years. Some interesting graphics. MDA

Sounds like the briley bushing was worn out if the plating if pealing off. Once that starts you will continue to have problems until you replace it. Just call or order directly from briley. MDA

In the last few years SVI has made a few minor changes to their gun design and some of the parts are no longer compatible with the STI design. The mag release slot is one of those change. MDA

Bob Reread the setup instruction for your seating die and follow the instructions. The bullet seating die also provides the crimp if setup correctly. Back out the knob which sets the bullet depth and set the die depth so it just removes the bell from the powder die. Be sure to tighten the locking ring. Then use the adjustable knob on the top of the die to set the bullet depth. You can check for potential setup back, or loose bullet in case, by taking a round and place the nose of the bullet against you reloading bench and push by hand. Bullet should not move if correct. With lead you can also have opposite problem with to much crimp and will result in poor accuracy. Check this by pulling a bullet from you loaded ammo and look where the case indented the lead bullet. You should only see a slight impression not a deep grove. Good luck with the load master. Used, fumbled, cussed, and broke parts for a few years before finally getting a Dillon. Difference was like night and day. Since you are starting at 5.5 of WST your load will probably be right at/below major PF and as always when developing load check with a chrono. MDA

calling all mechanics
mda replied to calvary45's topic in Miscellaneous Topics That Do Not Fit in Any Other Forum
Like the others have said: if it is not an interference head then the timing is incorrect. If your mechanic can not figure this out you need to find new one that knows what they are doing. MDA -

The Suncoast has an all night restaurant that serves breakfast, almost identical layout to the Orleans since owned by same company, 10 min from range with lots of area restaurants near by with out the high cost of the Strip. MDA
