  1. The original question was for the rail mount screws on the top of the receiver.
  2. Good luck finding 6-48 screws at a regular hardware store! Brownells will have them.
  3. Dave, they should be 6-48. That's the "standard" for gun screws. If not, 8-40. Are there plugs in the holes that can be measured?
  4. Only one Brit shooting this year. It's Jon Axe and his wife Allison coming over to shoot and visit. Jon's the one that brings the hot sauce, he doesn't make it though, a friend of his does.
  5. Mark, you'll be missed if you don't heal enough in time. Getting the knee better is important.
  6. Can you swap to a different scope and mount? Try removing the comp, and shoot for groups. Eliminate one thing at a time. 3 bad barrels from 3 different manufacturers is very unlikely.
  7. Oddly, in my Rainier Arms barreled DPMS, Gold Medal match shot poorly. American Eagle 168 OTM M1A ammo was about half the group size. The Gold Medal can't be beat in my M1A and Remington 700 Police (original wood stocked version) How is the fit between the barrel extension and upper receiver?
  8. Angle Iron on stands. I use 3 inch wide, 6 inch tall. I did get it for free though.
  9. I hope you found it when you got home, and didn't leave it there!
  10. Were the loads on the light side? 8208 is a slower powder than say H335. It would probably work better with hot loads and / or heavy bullets. Was the brass sized sufficiently? Just because it fits the gage, it may still be tight in your chamber. I've experienced this with .308. How wet did you run the gun?
  11. Kurt or Mike, Is the course of fire published anyplace? I'd like to look at the stage descriptions.
  12. Perhaps no one has the answer to your question.
  13. Thank you to Dean and all of the help he had to put this match on again. Michelle Cerino did a great job as prize table coordinator! For the squad 3 photo, not all the squad got the memo for the photo.
  14. I would imagine an appropriate FFL, state license, business license, proper zoning, regular hours.
  15. They have not been in the past. It's been all Tac Optics legal equipment, only one division if you will.
  16. You can not "tap" out a stuck case. The removal set consists of a 1/4-20 socket head cap screw, #7 drill and 1/4-20 tap. Also is a cap that allows the screw to fit through the center, and is bored out to allow the case to be pulled out. You have to back out the decapper / expander in order to drill the head of the case. It is a worthwhile purchase.
  17. Blend it where your hand makes contact with it, in the "engaged" position. Or, in both positions, but not only in the "at rest" position.
  18. The original poster never mentioned the gun / guns that the ammo was intended to be used in. A bolt gun may get away with cases that a gas gun will not. Starting to size at 90%? That will never fly in a .308 AR, and likely not in an M1A even if it has a GI barrel. JJ is correct, spray the heck out of the brass using Dillon, or similar case lube. It needs more lube than .223 ever thought of needing, the brass needs a good coat of lube. You may even need to size your brass a bit shorter than what the case guage says it good for reliable function. I took .005" off the bottom of the full length sizing die. Small base dies made no difference. A stuck case remover set is needed, you cannot remove the expander from a die that is stuck. The sizing die reduces the neck diameter smaller than is needed, then expander opens it up a couple thousandths of an inch, on the down stroke of the press handle.
  19. I knew Walt back in the 80's. Not IDPA, but USPSA. Maybe even before USPSA started. May Walt rest in peace.
  20. Why are there stitches in the palm of your hand? Was it just a deep cut, or surgery to fix a problem? When I had carpal tunnel surgery, I bought a left hand holster to practice with.
  21. How old is the gun? A new carrier dog spring is the normal suggestion for this condition. I replaced mine after6 or 7 years. Springs are simple maintenance items.
  22. Are all 12 targets from a standing position, or are they separated?
  23. I shoot a 6" gun, standard frame, bushing barrel, lightened slide. 35 ounces.
  24. Don't know how picky your A5 is, but, I run Rio, Herters (Cabela's). If in doubt, AA's or Remington STS.
