Saw Tom's gun last weekend..it is pretty cool.. I am gathering the parts to build up a 9mm..I got my STI frame, barrel, sights, trigger group. just trying to save up for the slide now..

Check with Matt Burkett..I believe he shoots an SV cross competitor for IDPA..I saw one and it is pretty nice.. www.mattburkett.com there is a photo there under his listings of guns he uses

Check with EGW..I think George still makes them..as I had talked to him about rebuilding a p9 for me earlier this year and he said no troubles..

With all this news about the new Sig 1911..it is good to see Matt McLearn's name back in the spotlight.

That would be very cool...I always like my Caspian guns...I had two weld up big sticks back then..one held 27 and one held 25 both worked great... Travis..Heard you got some new guns from EGW...anything trick to them?? just curious..

I like the sight picture of the bomar...so when I need adjustables I usually go with them...For fixed sight, I like the Heinie rear sight..I usually have the rear blade filed clean then reserrated to match the bomar rear blade.

As far as I know..the 5pound rule is an IPSC production rule.. I sent the gun on Monday..Charlie emailed me on Tuesday saying the gun was ready and test-fired..and would be FedEx on Wednesday..I got it back Thursday morning... He is a good guy..highly recommend him and the work..

Just got my G34 back from Charlie Vanek... oh man!!!!! the trigger breaks at 1lb9ounces...nice short reset...can;t wait to go to the range tomorrow.. also got the narrow (.100) fiber optic from Dawson..looks very nice... welcome to production class....

What a fun night..guess it all starts with baby steps..she's getting it all figured out.. Guess I better start saving for that open gun...

Usually a plain black serrated front sight...usally .090 or .100 just got a G34..so trying out the dawson glock set with a .100 FO front sight..see what happens..

Just got a G34 and G17...what parts do I need or would you recommend to trick out my my guns for USPSA production class.. I am planning on a set of Dawson sights..but beyond that I am lost...I have heard of things like the Ghost Rocket connector but are there any others?? thanks..

carry only three on my belt..in open and limited..L10 and production I wear five..

PaulW..I will check the dimensions on my sticks.. I have one STI tuned by Beven..all his parts..works in both my guns no problems..I have a SV mag with Grams follower and stock basepad, and another STI stick with all Beven parts, but not tuned to max capacity..all work well in my guns..I load to 1.235 and use a round nose bullet..I know for one of my guns..I needed to shorted the feedlips to get an earlier release, but after that..no troubles with that gun..

Looking for some clarity..I have been searching, but am still unclear.. If I have a G34 or a G17..can I have bomars and a fiber optic post front sight installed and still be ok for USPSA production??? and can I install a G34/35 ext mag release in a G17 and be OK??? thanks

Zak. from what i have seen..the sides they count are flats on the top.. if you were to flat top the slide then cut the radius on each side of that to a flat you would have a three sided slide..if you another flat on each side..it becomes a five-sided slide ( five flats where the radius would be) ..hope that helps.

I remember...when I first got my tungsten sleeved barrel..we asked and USPSA office stated it was ok..because it was internal..not external.. but hey.I guess things can change..
